Background
Collaboration is being defined as the different people working together
within a single workplace and attaining a common objective. For the companies to
be successful it is necessary that all the employees must be working in
collaboration with one another so that they can become successful. The current
study is based on Morrison which is the supermarket chain founded by William
Morrison in 1899. The study will outline the various employee collaboration tools
that are assistive to improve the working at time of pandemic.

Objectives
 To develop understanding relating to the concept of employee
collaboration tools and significance.
 To analyse various employee collaboration tool to effectively communicate
with employees during pandemic with respect to Morrison.
 To evaluate the benefits which Morrison can avail be using employee
collaboration tools during and post pandemic.
 To recommend some of the ways through which use of employee

collaboration tool can be enhanced.

Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Reasons for choosing the project (e.g. links to other subjects you are studying, personal interest,
future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why the topic is important):
With respect to the current pandemic the employees were very
demotivated and were not working in proper manner. Hence, for this the present
research topic is being selected as the use of employee collaboration tool will be
improving the working efficiency. Also, the current research is of academic and
personal interest of the researcher as well.

In accordance to the views of Fabbri and et.al., (2019) the employee
collaboration is very important for the reason that it will increase the working
efficiency of company. the use of these tools assist company in managing good
relation within the employees and also among other stakeholders as well. this is
pertaining to the fact that creation of good relation and the will improve the
working environment of the company and this will keep the employees engaged.
This is very important for the companies to manage and undertake the use of
the good employee collaboration tools.
In against of this Nawangwulan and et.al., (2020) stated that there is
different employee collaboration tool which can be used by the companies in
order to engage the employees. Post pandemic the employees have become
much demotivated and use of these employee collaboration tool will assist in
keeping employees motivated. There are different types of tools which
companies can undertake for using in order to improve the working efficiency of
business. this involves use of different types of the software which are assistive
to keep employees engaged. This includes using different software like
Flowdock, GoToMeeting, Slack, WebEx and many other different tools.
Along with this 7 Collaboration Techniques to Improve Team Performance,
(2019) another technique for the effective employee collaboration is to engage
the employees within the different team building games as well. this is
necessary for the reason that it improves the working efficiency of the business
and the employees as well. this is also very important for the reason that when
employees work together on team building games then this increases the
working efficiency.
In contrast to this Redianis, Putra and Anggayana (2019) articulates that all
these use of techniques and strategies help the company in attaining different
benefits. This is important for the reason that in case employees will be engaged
and will be practising collaborative practices then this will improve the working to
a great extent. The benefit of using the employee collaboration tools is that it
increases the problem solving skill. This is because of the reason that it increases
the capability of the employee to solve any type of the problem. Also, another
benefit of using the employee collaboration practices is that is provides
opportunity for growth as well.

Research type The type of method that will be used
for completion of the present
research is the qualitative study. the
reason for selection of this is that it
will increase the theoretical
knowledge relating to employee
collaboration tools (Snyder, 2019).
Research approach The approach selected will be
inductive because it includes the
setting up of aim and objectives of
the study and this will provide a base
for completing the research in proper
manner.
Research philosophy For the successful completion of the
study on employee collaboration the
use of interpretivsm will be
undertaken. it is selected because
with qualitative study it is more
suitable.
Data collection The data is the most essential aspect
for the completion of the study
because without data the study
cannot be completed. In the present
case the use of both primary and
secondary data source will be
undertaken (Pandey and Pandey,
2021). For the primary data use of
questionnaire will be undertaken and
for secondary sources different
articles and journal will be reviewed.
Sampling With respect to the present research
the sample will be selected of 30
employees of Morrison. The
employees are being selected for the
reason that they know that whether
the use of employee collaborative
tool is beneficial or not.
Data analysis After the gathering of data, it is very
important that analysis of the data is
being done in better and effective
manner. For analysing the data
relating to employee collaboration
tool the use of thematic analysis will
be undertaken. This is selected for
the reason that it will provide
different charts, tables and graphs
relating to the data collected.
