12IMPACT OF EMPLOYEE DIVERSITY ON ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE
Assignment 1B
The following paper attempts to establish the importance of the employee diversity in the
enhancement of the all-round organisational performance in the global market scenario.
Downey, van der Werff, Thomas and Plaut (2015) opine that the employee diversity
refers to the conditions where the organisational staff is observed to belong to varied cultural,
social as well as racial backgrounds. Tardos and Paksi (2018) argues that the staff is also
considered to be diversified on the basis of their gender and linguistic abilities. The employee
diversity as opined by Eze, Okonkwo and Igwebuike (2019) helps in the improvement of the
employee engagement within the concern. The employee engagement within the organisation in
turn leads to the enhancement of the performance as is delivered by the organisation at large in
the global markets. This assists the concern in developing a competitive edge in the concerned
market scenario. Varghese (2016) further points out that the implementation of the diversity
among the employees would further help in the development of the innovation within the
organisation. This would help the organisation in developing a loyal client base as well as attract
various potential clients. This would result in the improvement of the revenues that are earned by
the organisation as well. The researches of O’Donovan (2018) helps in stating that the employee
diversity certainly has a positive effect on the all-round performance of the business concern.
The above discussion might be concluded with the notion that the employee diversity is
indeed necessary for the improvement in the organisational performance.
