FOREWARD
Welcome to Front Range Action Sports! We want our employees to know that they are appreciated and
respected. This handbook provides basic information and guidelines. Use it as a resource for policies and
guidelines. For more comprehensive information or to address a particular situation, please contact the
Human Resources department.
and policies contained in this handbook may be changed or discontinued periodically. You will be
informed of these modifications as they occur.
DIVERSITY
Equal Employment Opportunity Policy
Front Range Action Sports, in full accordance with the law; provides equal employment opportunities to
all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual
orientation, age, political affiliation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally
protected classification. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including hiring,
compensation, training, placement, promotion, layoff, recall transfer, leaves of absence, and
termination.
The company expressly prohibits any form of unlawful employee harassment based on race, color,
religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. Any actions that
prevent employees from performing their expected job duties will not be tolerated.
Americans with Disabilities Act and ADA Amendments Act
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act
(ADAAA), are federal laws that prohibit employers with 15 or more employees from discriminating
against applicants and individuals with disabilities. Reasonable accommodations must be provided,
when deemed necessary, so that these individuals can perform the essential duties of the position.
Front Range Action Sports complies with all federal and state laws regarding employees with disabilities.
The company will accommodate qualified individuals unless doing so causes danger to these individuals
or others in the workplace. Direct any questions to the Human Resources department.
EMPLOYMENT
This section explains the employment classifications within the company. Nonexempt employees are
covered by the Fair Labor Stands Act. They are not exempt from the requirements related to overtime
and minimum wage. Exempt employees hold jobs that meet the standards and criteria established by
the Fair Labor Standards Act—such as administrators, managers, and technical staff. These employees
are exempt from the overtime and minimum wage provisions of the act.

Front Range Action Sports has established the following categories for both nonexempt and exempt
employees.
 Full-time, regular: Work at least 37.5 hours every week.
 Full-time, temporary: Serve as interim replacements working a full-time schedule for a limited
duration in order to complete a specific project.
 Part-time, regular: Work at least 20 hours every week, but less than 37.5 hours.
 Part-time, temporary: Serve as interim replacements working less than 37.5 hours per week for
a limited duration in order to complete a specific project.
WORKPLACE SAFETY
Drug-Free Workplace
Front Range Action Sports has a strong commitment to provide a safe environment for employees. Drug
and alcohol abuse can pose a threat to the safety and health of workers as well as risk the security of
our equipment and facilities. Please review the company’s policy in the supplemental document you
received when you were hired.
Safety
All employees are required to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all federal,
state, and local safety and health regulations and program standards.
Smoke-Free Workplace
Smoking on all company premises is prohibited. The law defines smoking as the “act of lighting, smoking,
or carrying a lighted or smoldering cigar, cigarette, or pipe of any kind.”
The smoke free workplace policy applies to:
 All employees
 All visitors to company premises
 All vehicles leased or owned by the company
 All conferences and meeting of the company held off-site
WORKPLACE EXPECTATIONS
Confidentiality
It is the policy of Front Range Actions Sports that all information considered confidential will only be
disclosed to employees, customers, suppliers, or other outside parties with whom we do business on a
“need to know” basis.
Electronic Communication and Internet Use
Equipment owned by Front Range Action Sports and the related services provided by the company,
including email and Internet access, may not be used for transmitting, retrieving, or storing
communications that are defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or pornographic in nature. Employees
may not copy, retrieve, modify, or forward copyrighted materials, except with permission or as a single
copy for reference only. Internal and external email messages are considered business records and may
be used in the case of litigation.

All company-supplied technology and related work records belong to the company and not to the
employee. Front Range Action Sports routinely monitors usage by all employees. Inappropriate or illegal
use is subject to disciplinary action.
Social Media—Acceptable Use
COMPENSATION
Payment of Wages
All payments are made biweekly. If the normal payday falls on a holiday, paychecks will be distributed
one prior to the holiday. Employees may be paid by check or through direct deposit of funds.
Employee Travel and Reimbursement
Front Range Actions Sports will reimburse employees for reasonable expenses incurred in connection
with approved travel on behalf of the company.
TIME OFF and LEAVES OF ABSENCE
Front Range Action Sports recognizes ten paid holidays—the same holidays as the federal government.
Time off may be granted to employees who desire to observe a religious holiday that is not recognized
by the company. Additional time off is summarized in the table below.
Vacation paid leave based on date of hire
Sick Leave 10 days—full-time, part-time—prorated
Family and Medical Leave Act up to 12 weeks, may be paid
Personal Leave of Absence up to 30 days, unpaid
Bereavement Leave 5 days—immediate family, 3 days—extended family
Jury Duty one week with pay, additional time without pay
Military Leave of Absence up to five years

BENEFITS
All full-time employees of Front Range Action Sports are eligible to enroll in the medical, dental, and
vision plans provided by the company. Employees have up to 30 days from their date of hire to elect a
plan. Options can be changed at the beginning of each calendar year. Compare the costs associated with
