1 MANAGEMENT This particular incident is associated with the employee management problem in the small accountant firm where I was designated as the general manager. This firm had greeted reputation among the local governments as well as national level. It had stakeholders from various level of the society which include the employees, non-profit organisations, the local government and suppliers. The clients came to us for auditing, tax and other related consultancy services. Our company had a good relation with all the stakeholders and they had a great trust upon us. This is because our firm had no ill reputation in the market nor the employees indulged in any type of corruption. However, the problem emerged when an incident of cyber hacking took place in my firm and the hackers gained access to the personal data of the clients. This incident immediately got media attraction and led to a huge issue among the stakeholders. As mentioned before, I was the general managers of the company at that point of time hence I had to face a great difficulty to cope up with the situation and gain back the reputation for the firm.as the government was also related with us, the situation gained a national issue. I planned to take help from a special team of IT experts to identify the area through which the attack had taken place. Next I planned to arrange for upgrading all the systems with new kind of security measures so that the problem does not take place anymore. In order to organise the whole matter, I understood the importance of training the employees about the concept of white hat hacking and black hat hacking as well as the illegal ideology associated with them. I organised a seminar so that the IT experts can come across with the employees and make them understand the actual problem in this matter. I asked for financial assisted from the higher authority so that I spend the amount in this upgradation of these systems. As the general manager of the organisation I mandated periodical monitoring of the systems so that this incident ever take place in my firm.
2 MANAGEMENT Despite of being a managers of the firm, I played the role of the leader. I gave the employees the needed moral support so that they do not lose hope or feeling alone in this terrible situation of police investigation. This was same for the stakeholders therefore, I arranged stakeholders meeting to convince them for initiating to restore the situation as early as possible. In order to control the situation, I devised for investigation of the matter from my part and restructured our security policy for safeguarding the infrastructure. The media was requested to reveal the exact incident without any exaggeration. I also controlled the situation come by the direct involvement of the directors in the core operation so that they have perfect information about the company’s functioning and actual situation. This was how I proved myself a leader of the organisation.
