INTRODUCTION Employee relations refers to efforts of an organisation for managing relationship betweenemployees and employers. An enterprise that offers healthy employees relations program providefair treatment to all its workers by which they will stay committed towards their company andjob. This report is based on TESCO, which is an UK based retail organisation that deals withgeneral merchandise and multinational groceries (Sikula Sr and Sikula, 2019). This report coversimportance and value of employee relations in TESCO and different significant laws that areapplied to it. It also covers obligations, rights and duties of both employers and employees in abusiness enterprise and appropriate rights in this relation. Further it covers analysation ofstakeholders of this company and its their contribution to maintain healthy employee relationshipwithin an organisation. At the end, this report cover the impact of both positive and negativeimpact of employee relations upon various stakeholders and how it affect resolution and conflictsavoidance. TASK 1P1. Importance and Value of Employee Relations Employee relations are very important for motivating employees towards achievingbusiness goals and objectives. It helps in reducing conflicts in an workplace and enhance themorale of workforce. This will result in increasing the overall productivity and profitability if anorganisation. Big retail giant like TESCO keeps on improving its employee relationship byconducting various employee engagement programmes. It uses two way communication whichhas improved the flow of communication all over the enterprise. It gives stakeholders of thiscompany an opportunity to share their opinions and views in decision making. There are variousother benefits and importance of employee relations such as- Resolves Conflicts- The basic importance and value of forming healthy relations amongemployees, employers and other stakeholders of an organisation is that it helps in resolvingconflicts between workers in a business enterprise (Kuznetsova and Kuznetsov, 2019). Whenrelations of employees are good than all the workers will be able to communicate with each otherin an appropriate manner and take the decisions together. This will result in resolving any kind of

conflict that can arise when there is dissimilarity between opinions of employees in anorganisation. TESCO uses two way communication in order to maintain the flow ofcommunication within its business processes.Increase Productivity- Strong relations of employees helps the business enterprise inenhancing its overall productivity. Healthier the employees relations, better will be theperformance of a organisation (Poon, 2019). It will create the satisfaction among employeeswhich makes them to become more productive at workplace. When employees are productive atworkplace than it will definitely enhance the overall productivity of an organisation. TESCObelieves that healthy employees relations will also prevent in high rate of employee turnover andhelps in removing hassles in a business. Enhance Employee's Loyalty- Healthy employees relations helps in boosting up loyaltyamong workers up to a great extent by generating a productive and pleasant workingenvironment in an organisation. The more loyal the employees are, the more motivated they aretowards achieving business objectives. Moreover, loyal workforce will results in employeeretention which provides benefits for an organisation in the long run. In TESCO, employees areworking for a long period of time since they are loyal towards their organisation because of goodrelations among them. There are different ways which an organisation can adopt for improving the relationsbetween employees and motivate them towards achieving business goals and objectives. Forinstance, TESCO is utilising two way communication which helps both employees andemployers in participating in decision making procedure. This retail enterprise provides variousemployee engagement programmes that helps in creating motivation in its workforce. Itmotivates and encourage them towards achieving business objectives which lead to positiveworking environment in a workplace. The other thing which TESCO does for improvingrelations is to set business goals and communicate them with its workforce. It urge employees towork in an efficient manner and become more productive. P2. Fundamentals of Employment Laws Employment laws are the laws and regulations which establishes minimum conditionsthat are related to person's employment like minimum hourly wage, minimum working wage,and so on (Holland, Teicher and Donaghey, 2019). There are certain laws of United Kingdomthat are imposed on TESCO and other retail organisations which are elaborated as follows-
