Industrial Democracy (4.1)
Industrial Democracy means that there is an active
participation of representatives of employees from
all levels in an industry in the decision making
process.
EU always encourage the industrial democracy
because they want to give value to every person
who is working in the organization.
This contribute in building the value of the
employees which further contribute in raising the
mental level and positivity of the employees towards
the organization for which they are working.

more prominent roles for workers in a firm’s

1) Nature of employee involvement
a) Employee participation: - The participation of employee is
considered by selecting a representative from every section
of the company so that this representative will put forward
the perspectives of every employee in their departments.
b) Employee involvement: - The involvement of employee in
the decision making process will be checked by getting the
feedback over the issue which is being discussed in the
process. This is application of the ideas of the employees in
the work process and their efforts in solving problems and
other decision making processes.

2) Direct and indirect Participation
a) Direct participation: - there are mainly four main
forms of Direct participation of employees which
includes the individual and group consultation and
individual and group delegation.
b) Indirect participation: - In the indirect
participation of employees there is a demonstration
of the collective bargaining and work councils. There
is a regulative function and may actively engage
with the organizational or cooperative issues which
mat require the organization to become more
accountable to employees and their representatives.

European Work council (EWC)
This European union Council (EWC) helps in: -
1) Establishing the two way communication
between the employee and the management
and the union and the management.
2) Maintaining the peaceful and cooperative
employment relation (as EWC are not allowed
to Initiative stoppage of work).
3) Provide training to the representatives so that
they can able to define the problems of the
employees in a better way so that they can be
included in the decision making process.

Impact of human resource management approach on the
employee relationship (4.3)
There is direct relationship between the success and
failure of the organization to the relationship of
employees to the organization.
Nothing is possible without having trust on each
other.
Organization should have trust over the employees
so that they could able to give their best to get the
best outcome for the company.
Respecting the ideas of the employees and fulfilling
the desired requirements of the employees would
result in accomplishing the task at a much faster
rate.

Role of human resource department
Human resource department is the key player which
helps in developing the healthy relationship among the
organization and the employees.
They undertake certain activities which helps in
strengthening the bond of the employees and bring them
closer to the organization.
There are different persons who are appointed in the HR
department which handles different process of work in
the department like salaries hike , hiring the new
employees etc.
They are the people who keep the activities going so that
they could able to involve the employees in those
activities so that the outcome could be productive.

Organizing events
They prepare events and small get together at the
workplace to bring the enjoyment by keeping the
environment healthy and every official should support it.
They encourage the employees to particpate in different
activties like in the decision making process while the
project is introduced.
Encouragement given to the employees to provide their
ideas to complete the tasks , provide the employees the
sense of importance.
This contributes in making a strong bond between the
employees and the organization . Respecting those ideas
in such a way that rewards are given to the employees
whose ideas match the requirement of the target.

Encouraging the employees can be done when the HR
department would note down the contribution of every
employee in the work process.
This encouragement and motivation is given by HR
department in the form of rewards.
These rewards can be given in different ways like in
financial increase in the wages, giving the bonuses,
giving the prizes.
Respecting the situation of up and down in every
employee’s personal life and helping them during that
situation will help in making place in the heart of the
employees which contribute in making a strong bond
between the organization and the employees.

Motivation of employees by HR
department
Motivation can be given to the employees by
understanding the difficult situations during the
work process.
There are certain activities which are discussed in
this section which helps in building a strong and it
raise the willingness of the employee to work with
the organization for long period of time.
This is the collective bargaining which has been
dominant in the process in UK and in many
European nations through the structures and
processes.
