INRODUCTIONEmployee relation is concerned with managing the relationship between the employersand employees of the company. It is related to organisations efforts relating to the develop andmaintain a favourable relationship with their employees (Alagaraja and Shuck, 2015). With this,the organisation will be able to retain employees and motivates them to work with fullconfidence and zeal. Organisation undertaken in this report is Amazon which was founded in1994 and deals in e commerce and cloud computing industries. It serves various products andservices to its customers like Amazon fire TV, kindle, loyalty cards, prime videos, etc. Thisreport will explain the principles of employee relation in context of the organisation. It will alsoexplain the fundamentals of the employment law which is applicable to a particular organisation.This will also determine the rights, duties and obligations of employee relation. It will analysethe role of different stakeholders who is involved in assisting favourable relationship. This willalso evaluate the impact of positive and negative employee relationship.TASK1P1. Value and importance of employee relation.Employee relations is concerned with the inner part of the human resource management.In Amazon, employee relation is the interaction of the employees and they all have differentroles to affect the employment relations (Avery, Smillie and Fife-Schaw, 2015). This relationbetween the employee and employer is very curial and plays a vital role because of theperformance within the organisation. This employee relation is very essential for the success ofthe organisation. When there will be good and effective relations between the employees andemployer and than they will be aware of the responsibilities of one another and this will facilitatethe fair and cultivable working atmosphere. Favourable working relationships creates acooperative climate with efforts towards the accomplishment of business goals and objectives.Value of employee relationWhen the organisation is able to maintain healthy atmosphere then it will be treated aspre requisite for the success of the organisation (Brammer and Mellahi, 2015). When theemployee relation base is stronger and requires higher productivity and satisfaction of humanbeings. Employee relation is important at workplace because every individual working at anylevel in the organisation will need some one to talk and share the feeling. When people will be
able to talk to one another then this will develop friendly relation among employees. This kind ofrelation is helpful in developing conflict free and comfortable working atmosphere for thepeople.Importance of employee relationIn an Amazon, communication plays a vital role for enhancing the employee relation. It isuseful in improving the relations among the employees (Chen and. et. al., 2016). With the flowof information and communication between departments, the employees are able to convey theirproblems to the top level management and the top management will communicate the solutionsof their problems by determining them the mission and vision of the company which will helpthem in the manner in which the work is required to be performed. Good and effective employeerelation in the Amazon will create a pleasant atmosphere within the working environment. Thismaximises the motivation level of employees and also encourages them to work with fullpotential and zeal. When the company will be able to create favourable working atmosphere thenit will have drastic impact on the loyalty of the employees in the businesses. This further helps inminimising the labour turnover rate and absenteeism by retaining the employees within theorganisation.Employee relation also minimises the chances of conflict and even if any conflict arisesthen people are able to deal with such conflicts by providing them with win win solutions whichwill be advantageous for both the conflicting parties (Eldor and Vigoda-Gadot, 2017). Themorale of the employee is concerned with that one feels safe and secure within the organisationand this is very important because by this, employees will work with full concentration and stressfree mind that can generate more productive results for the company. Employee relation is alsoimportant in Amazon for delegation of work because this helps in dividing the larger task intosmaller one and then they are assigned to the different individuals by keeping in mind their skillsand capabilities which helps them in accomplishing the task within the specified time frame.Furthermore, the organisation must focus on eliminating the favouritism which will be useful intreating all the employees fairly and equally. This is very important at the workplace otherwisesome employees may feel neglected and may not work according to their skills and potentials. Italso signifies that employees must be dependent upon the healthy and safe working environment.Thus, strong employer and employee relation will be beneficial for the company.
