The concept of the current research areas is based on employee retention that is defined as the ability of an
organisation to prevent the employee turnover. Having improved employee retention tend to have a direct and
significant impact on the overall performance and success level of a business (Capkun and Ors, 2021).
brief explanation of the noteworthy significance of the research area and logically link to the purpose for
conducting the study.
The selection of the current research topic based on employee retention is significant and vital as it
eliminates and reduce the risk of high employee turnover and ensure longer presence of talented and skilled
employees which supports improved performance and success level (Aman-Ullah and et. al., 2021).
brief background of the research context- hospitality management sector and organisational case study.
Hospitality management sector is concerned with leading higher operational efficiency and effectives within a
hotel by the way of effectively directing and motivating the employees. The organisation selected for current
project is Holiday inn which a renowned American hospitality organisation having a chain of many hotels across
the world and is based in Atlanta having its headquarters in Denham, Buckinghamshire. It has been seen that
because of the recent conid-19 issues a high level of turnover and lack of motivation has been seen within the
employees of Holiday Inn. Thus, current study is undertaken to review about the phenomena of employee
retention together with review about its impact on the overall performance level of a hotel.

The aim of the current study is, “To analysis about the phenomena of employee retention together with
review about its impact on the overall performance level of a hotel. A research project on Holiday Inn.
Objectives:
1. To evaluate about the phenomena of employee retention together with its need and importance within
hospitality industry.
2. To study about the impact of employee retention policy on the overall performance and success level of
the Holiday inn.
3. To determine some more effective strategy and policy of employee retention that supports higher
productivity and performance level of a hotel through improved holding of talented employees.

based on the fact that high employee turnover is being seen the hospitality sector due to the global
pandemic of covid-19 along with lack of motivation level in employees which is continuously
hampering the productivity level of this sector. Thus, it has become interesting and vital to review
about the ways that supports higher retention of employees and its overall impact on the productivity
