There have been two arguments put forward by the scholars to state whether regulation is
necessary in an employment environment. The argument was based on whether regulation is
needed in a business environment that shows discrimination among workers. The first argument
shows that regulation is needed in a discriminating business environment because due to
discrimination among employees and hiring employees based on race, sex and religion, the
business fails to employee worker that are more capable of the job. On the other hand, there are
arguments stating that there are situation when company needs to choose between two equally
capable people for the same position. In that case prejudiced employers does not face any fall in
the quality of worker due to discrimination. According to my opinion regulation is necessary in
the employment environment. This is because it leads to loss of opportunities for people that are
more capable and does not get chance because they belong to the back people (Percival et al.,
2017). I have experienced a same situation in the company I used to work as an HR manager. In
that organization people were given preference based on their sex. In that case there were many
women candidates that lose opportunity of getting hired even if they are more capable than the
men.

At-will employment is a type of employment that is used in labor law. In this type of
employment, employees of the workforce are asked to leave the employment or terminated from
the job without any warning or any reason. In this type of employment the employees are also
denied from any benefit from the organization after they are asked to leave the company. Similar
type of at-will employment is followed in the business environment of North Carolina. This is
