ENGLISH ESSAY2 Part 1: Give Thanks for Meat I agree with the author of the article because he has clearly indicated that meat is a very important component of our diet. The author’s argument uses evidence to demonstrate this importance. He has clearly explained to us why meat eating is ethical. He has also clearly indicated refuted any arguments put fort to show why eating meat is unethical. Meat contains lots of nutrients needed for the body. Although it is true that meat contains fat, the best approach is moderation and not avoidance. I have learnt a lot from this article. The main lesson I have got is the benefits of eating meat. I have learnt that when a cow is maintained well it is able to capture and turn the sunlight captured by plants into condensed calories and protein through the aid of microorganisms in its gut. What I have learnt will help me to have a clear ground of my argument on ethicality of meat eating. The strength of this argument is it clearly support meat eating is ethical with solid evidence that has been clearly sited. The only weakness is that the author seems to undermine the views of those who do not support eating of meat. The article is important in helping us understand the importance of eating meat. It presents the culture of human beings as one that is progressive. It also points out that positive decisions lead to positive outcomes. Part 2: Responsibility and Sustainability in the Restaurant Industry The essay has got some strengths. One of these it clearly emphasizes the importance of sustainability and responsibility in the restaurant industry. Another strength is that the author has a lot of information on the topic and he has gone a further step to even provide examples to support his essay and make it a strong one. The author has used the correct grammar, punctuation and maintained logical flow throughout the essay. The author of the essay has used the proper tone of an essay and has observed the use of correct sentence
ENGLISH ESSAY3 structures and lengths. The word choice is also appropriate. I found the essay to have no weaknesses. The author of the essay has used the transitions in between the paragraphs and across ideas. This is evident at the end of every paragraph and beginning of a new paragraph. He ends the paragraph after explaining a single idea and starts the next paragraph with an appropriate topic sentence. The transitions that the author has used help in improving the flow of the essay as the reader. He has also organized the essay in way that the reader is eager to know the next point. The transition gives the writer the freedom to fully explain his ideas thus increasing the efficacy of the essay. The conclusion is also effective as it has effectively summarized the essay. The assay has all the qualities required and it will guide me to write an essay that got all primary strengths required. For instance, I will use topic sentences in each paragraph, have strong introduction and have a conclusion that summarizes the essay. Part 3:Alberta Doesn’t Hate the NDP as Much as you’d Think *It looks obvious that Jason Kenney is likely to be the next premier of Alberta*. According to the poll tracker there is high probability that his party “United conservative Party” will win the most seats on April. This is because since its formation it opened a lead of 28 points over the incumbent NDP. As is seen the race seems to be dominated by the two popular parties in the country but the UCP has been having a lot of people giving them support. At the start of the campaign UCP had 56 percent of support while NDP had only 31percent (Hopper, 2019). This leaves no doubt that the UCP will take a great lead during the general election. This is the moment now that has been eagerly awaited by the supporters of
ENGLISH ESSAY4 UCP considering that even the NDP has never even at once been province’s popular party. This is the time now that they are assured of great victory. I feel that the article is not biased. It just gives a projection of what might happen using the data available.
