INTRODUCTION
Coronavirus refers to a family of viruses which are responsible for developing signs of
common cold and then leads to severe health problems. It can be consider as a deadly virus for
birds as well as mammals (Niederwerder and Hesse, 2018). In context of this assignment, it is
based on the topic of Coronavirus in Australia including its range of spread in the country. It will
focus on measure taken by government of the nation in order to save citizens from infection of
this deadly virus. The description of symptoms and detection of relevant infection is given
below.
MAIN BODY
Coronavirus can be defined as a deadly virus which is found in animal and they can be
transmitted from animals to human beings which happen in rare case. It is known as a separate
family of viruses which are accountable for causing illness that range from common cold to
move severe health issues including Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) and
Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV). However, it is consider as a nee strain which
was not identified or detected earlier in human beings. It has been analysed that a novel
coronaviruses (nCoV) are known to be zoonotic which means that they have a capability to get
transmitted between animals and people. In addition to this, investigations carried out on this
organism found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans whereas it is
determined that MERS-CoV transmitted from dromedary camels to human beings. Meanwhile,
the study of this virus suggest that number of coronaviruses are circulating among animals but
they have not infected humans yet. There are number of symptoms which can be evaluated in a
person infected with coronavirus such as fever, cough, shortness of breath & breathing
difficulties and other respiratory signs (Wu and et. al., 2020). In severe condition of patient, these
common symptoms become complex causing sever acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure,
pneumonia and even death of an individual.
In terms of coronavirus, it has been analysed that it was first detected in Wuhan city of
China from where it get spread to other countries including Australia at global level. People who
visit China of different purposes get infected and then return to their home country which spread
this infection to all over the world. Basically, it has been analysed that WHO is working on this
global issue and provide guidelines to prevent this epidemic. Coronaviruses has a family of

viruses which can be found in various animals such as cattle, cats, camels and bats but
researchers provide opinion that this virus rarely infect and spread among humans. It has been
evaluated that around 23 people are infected with coronavirus disease in Australia which are
under treatment and no case of death is registered. Humans primarily get infected with
coronavirus due to contact with animals then it get spread between people at large scale. It is
observed that habit of splitting here and there should be avoided by citizens because the spread
of this deadly virus take place through body fluids. It is necessary for people to follow guidelines
provided by government (Lindemann and et. al., 2016). Meanwhile, this virus is very easily
spread between human beings through touching the infected person by hand, nose, eyes and
mouth. It is analysed that initial symptoms of coronaviruses are mostly ignored by people
because these are much similar to signs of viral fever.
The diagnosing of this infection is required to be done earlier because medical
department has no medicine to cure the problem of coronavirus diseases. It is essential for
Australian to become aware about this problem and get immediate medical consultation to get rid
off the same. Basically, it can be detected through conduct pathological analysis of blood but it is
much difficult to isolate this virus and nucleic acid hybridisation test (PCR) are not being
introduced. The laboratory detection can be done on the basis of antibody titres in paired sear
through which physicians diagnose this infection among people. The government of Australia is
working on the effective strategy of early health screenings and travel bans which are helpful to
treat the infection at initial stage and avoid spread of the same within the nation. They are
focussing on initial action in order to minimize transmission as well a managing initial cases in
proper way (Ko and et. al., 2017). It consist various measures including health screenings on the
ports & airports, escalating to travel bans that are in place for travellers coming from china in
current situation. However, it has been analysed that authorities advice hospitals to bring
additional surge staff along with considering fever clinics which helps to reduce the burden of
entire healthcare system of the country. The case of Australia were found in different areas such
as 8 patients in Queensland, 4 in New South Wales, 7 in Victoria, 3 in South Australia and 1 in
Western Australia.
Prevention consist various guidelines which are required to be followed by every citizen
of Australia to avoid this kind of deadly infection of virus. It includes use of wash hands, cover
nose & mouth while sneezing or coughing on regular basis along with thoroughly cooking eggs

& meat. It is necessary for people to take desired precautions and avoid close contact with any
person having signs of illness related to respiratory system including sneezing or coughing
respectively. It is very essential to take precautions because there is no cure of this deadly virus.
It is necessary to washing hands with soap and water often and utilise tissue along with covering
mouth at the time of cough or sneeze. It is significant isolate infected patients to avoid more
spread of coronavirus.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been analysed that coronavirus is a family of deadly virus
which are found of different animals like bets, cats and camels. It was not observed in humans
previously and transmission of this virus is very rare from animals to human beings. However,
precautions like washing hands, covering mouth and avoid contact with infected people is must
because this disease has no cure.
