ESSAY Why should young people choose to study at University? Education at University has always been considered as an instrumental aspect in the overall learning and development of an individual. It not only increases the chances of availing better opportunities regarding employment but it also widens the overall understanding related to the global issues and trends. They are able to increase the scope of their ability to comprehend and intelligently decipher the impact that these trends can have on themselves as individuals. The first basic reason that can be attributed in favour of student choosing to go for universityeducationistheskilldevelopment(CharronandRothstein,2016).University educations help in attaining and honing the skills necessary for gaining financial independence and improve the living standards. Apart from becoming an individual with taste and culture, they can also learn to live for others. Additionally, another reason that can be identified is the expansion of the vision and perception that university education gives. The development of intellect is critical in University and the individuals often engage in scholarly works such as conducting researches and surveys, studying different topics, writing thesis and dissertation etc. One requires a great deal of understanding to write proper dissertations and thesis. Another reason that can be identified in favour to university education is the ability of this to shape the future of the society and the civilization for the mankind. The education fosters an individual to understand themselves and identify that which path would be best for them (Ansong and et.al., 2019). It is this critical thinking and assessing power of the different event happening around the world that helps in shaping up future leaders, prime ministers and presidents of a society. They collectively strive towards creation of those societies which are beneficial for all and foster growth of every person as an individual. The last major factor that assists towards the positive aspects of students aiming towards education at university level is the opportunity that it gives them to change not only themselves but the entire world with their thinking and vision. These are the individuals who have the capability to lead individuals and guide them towards improved conditions for all not just in the monetary terms but in terms of quality of life as well. The engagement in university education leads to creation of skilled, financially stable individuals who have a much broader thinking set and vision which is the key towards improvement of entire economies and generations (Smith 3
and et.al., 2017). When the people of an economy become skilled and talented, the economy automatically shows growth and advancement. Therefore the above reasons that have been presented in favour of the university education are adequate in illustrating that why choosing to go fir education at an university level is the better decision for themselves as well as for the country and society in which they live. 4
