INTRODUCTIONThe Refection has played a significant role in creating an upsurge of interest amongsteducators and researchers. It is essential for students to conduct self reflection , as this will helpthem in analysing their own strength as well as weakness. It will also support individual inidentifying the area of improvement. Reflection will enable person to plan appropriate tactics ,strategies as well as policies for improving their learning process. It will enable student toexplore as well as capture various opportunities that will be useful or beneficial in selfdevelopment. Reflection encourages student to develop critical thinking. But in context ofnursing it is considered to be as a complex procedure. The process of critical self-reflectioncan foster transformational learning in adults. Refection is recognised as higher-ordermental procedure which allows individual in generating positive outcome. It also enables personto identify appropriate techniques, ways or methods in order to deal with complex as well ascritical situations.Purpose of the reflective essay is to present application of important skills or abilities thatare required by nurse in order to improve their performance at workplace. I have used Gobsmodel in the essay as this will help me in illustrating the facts in six headings. These areDescription, Feelings, Evaluation, observation, conclusion and Tactics.MAIN BODYI have been appointed as the Nurse in one of the most popular health and social careorganisation. My role is to provide care and assist doctors or professional in delivering thesuitable treatment to patients. On the second day of my joining the health care company , I haveidentified that small child who belongs to the age of 4 years is recovering from surgery. Thesecond patient that has been admitted in hospital was lady I can't disclose the name of thatwomen as during the training I have been taught about the norms as well as regulation that I needto follow when executing my task. Among such laws one of the legislation for employeesworking in health care sector is to maintain the confidentiality of data or information related topatient. The lady was admitted for termination of pregnancy. I have observed that she hadreturned to the ward and was not present in recovery. Lady does not understand English.
