SECTION II'Eat, pray and Love' written by Elizabeth Gilbert is a memoir that is based on her ownsearch of life in terms of love and spirituality and was in her early thirties and was not contendedwith her living conditions. She had a husband, home and successful career but she was notsatisfied and took divorce from her husband. After this initiation, she was involved into arelationship which did not work out and left her more isolated, lonely and vulnerable. Thiscontinuous unhappy events took her to a world tour of Italy, India and Indonesia (Andriyanie,Firmawan and Retno, 2017). In Italy, she spent four months eating her heart out and in India, shespent three months to understand pray, spirituality and religious aspects to nurture the inner soul.Lastly, she went to Indonesia and fell in love with a business man of Brazil. In regard to this, it has been found out that profound human experiences mentioned inthis book is in relation to three demographical and geographical locations had given a platform tothe protagonist to live to the fullest. This entire travelling time has given her time to reconnectwith her own aspirations and desires which made me realise that it is necessary for an individualto take up travelling. Travelling is the pathway to the inner discovery and let the individual toconnect with inner emotions and the worldly affairs. For instance, when she visited India, sheunderstood the different religious beliefs this country has demonstrated and the impact it has onher mind and body.SECTION IIIThe prescribed text “ It's not what happens to you but how you react to it that matters” isrelevant in today's fast paced lifestyle. It is understandable that an individual is the one who is incontrol of making the choices and in accordance to it, the person react, make necessary changesand bring outcomes whether positive or negative. A human life is filled with emotions ofhappiness, sadness, enjoyment, laughter, grief, bereavement etc. Moreover, it is normal forpeople to stuck with the experiences and live with the self satisfying pain. This pain is synonymto negativity which might surround an individual in the vicious life cycle of competitive world. Itdoes not matter about the roots that person has risen or brought into this world but the mannersand the behavioural approaches to withstand the situations on daily basis (Parfit, 2016). Newton'sthird law of motion stated that every action has equal and opposite reaction which is perfectlyapplicable in context to reactions of people. When a child gets scolded from his parents, he criesand sometimes also give pain back by doing the same mistake again.1
