ASSIGNMENT 3
1
Enhanced Biometric Authentication for Secure Access Control_1

Abstract
Background & Aims
In the security systems or in the recognition, the biometric systems are used. In the traditional
biometric systems, the security issues like authentication and feature fusion are present that
affect the outcome solution. The biometric authentication is very useful for providing the
security access in door and also to collect the scanning information. Now a day’s security
becomes a major concern at all places by using the biometric authentications. The security
system is enhanced in security features. The challenges in privacy, processing speed, time
consumption are seen. To solve this issue the RFID, floating point biometric accelerator, gesture-
based biometric systems, and multi-stage access level in the biometric authentication is used for
the security enhancement. The work is to be aimed that the finger vein and fingerprint based on
the cancellable multi-biometric system has the best in protection of revocability and template as
well. The minutia based vein based and thumbprint biometric systems enhance the door security.
Purpose or Findings
For the secure access facility, the Low cost and high processing speed in recognition of a
biometric system is used that enhances the authentication layers.
The smart decision-making system is developed with the adaptable level of abstraction.
The identification and feature extraction level is enhanced in the biometric system so the
security of authentication is improved.
It is found that the multi-level biometric authentication helps to control the access at door and
also to manage the security and privacy issue by using the cryptographic key generation in
the biometric system.
The accuracy, security, and rate of performance are enhanced by scanning with the improved
rate of 0.12% by using the MD-A database.
It is found that the data and system access to the only legitimate users only but in some
biometrics the risk of captured, copied, interference in signals are seen.
The information leakage and the insufficient strength in user key are found that is limited to
the user ability in recognition of keys. The purpose is to use the Finger vein high-dimensional
space self-stabilization method that helps to enhance the security in biometric authentication
and an authentication of user key.
Methodology
In the enhancing of security in biometric authentication, the sensor and new technique like finger
vein and fingerprint methods are best. The high recognition accuracy and difficulty in hacking is
seen by the hacker. In the research, the conversion methods in data types are used that convert
the fingerprints and finger veins data into the strings.
Conclusion
From the issues, aims, findings purpose and methodology it is evaluated that in biometric-based
system the authentication issue like data leakage, high cost, and low processing speed is seen in
biometric security systems. To overcome all these solutions is focused on removing the security
