Journal article related to Technology Acceptance Model:
In this case the selected journal article is the “Technology acceptance model (TAM)
and social media usage: an empirical study on Facebook.” According to the authors Rauniar
et al., as in the current generation the social media websites usages such as Facebook,
Twitters, LinkedIn are increasing day by day it is very much important to understand the
attitude and the behaviours of the users regarding it for deployment of new technologies. This
data regarding the users can be gathered using the technology acceptance model. Here this
paper aims to discuss the issues regarding the technology acceptance model while studying
social media usage behaviour. In this case the technology acceptance model studied
behaviour of individual adoption of one of the most popular site for social networking which
is Facebook. Primary data has been used for this research including 398 active Facebook
users and the data has been collected through web-based questionnaire survey. From the
result of this research it has been assessed that the used Technology acceptance model
supports all type of hypothesis regarding the behaviour of social media usage. The
technology acceptance model used in the study validated the attitude intent behaviour
relationship regarding the social media website such as Twitter and Facebook. Also from the
technology acceptance model it has been understood that there are other variables also which
must be investigated properly for improving the prediction of social media acceptance and
the usage behaviour of the peoples that has been suggested by revised technology acceptance
model. Though the technology acceptance model has many limitations current study using
this model can be very much helpful for the researchers in future and educators in the context
of social media.
