ERP System
The three organizations that has been selected for this assignment are Oracle, Odin and
IFS. Enterprise Resource Planning is one of the most advanced technology which helps the
management system in terms of providing any services. It is basically a database which is shared
to manage the process involved in the organization through various activities and applications
(Madapusi and Ortiz 2019). With the three organizations all the details are being provided in this
report.
Nowadays, the demand for implementing ERP in an organization is increasing at a fast
pace. There are varied range of strategies related to the implementation of ERP depending on
vendors offering different services (Ali and Miller 2017). There are some leading vendors such
as Oracle, Odin and IFS who ensures passing through the same methodology and different
phases which are as following:
To prepare and plan- This phase is the starting phase of the project in which proper
preparation and planning is required. It includes identification of the issues, creating the
scope specification, schedule of the project and plan.
Design- This step helps in getting through the whole architecture and detailed requirements.
In addition, the design highlighting has to be evolved including the following phases.
Development-The designs were specified earlier are developed in this phase. Multiple
features and configurations will be added to finalize the required model for going live.
Testing- This step is the most required element after the development phase. Although, there
is overlapping of this step with the development phase (Schlichter, Klyver and Haug 2018).
In order to meet the client needs it is responsible for testing in a systematic manner.
