This article discusses the use of unstructured qualitative interviews and thematic analysis to explore the antecedents of entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The study focuses on individual and firm-level factors influencing entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The findings suggest that respondents have limited knowledge of the topic, and the quality of results is average. The article also highlights the limitations of using interviews and the analytical approach taken.
