Managers are more involved in the company when the company is relatively more stable and
established. Hence, managers come into the later stages of the company development.
Managers tend to be concerned more about the end products and works that aids in the growth
of the company and play an important role in the smooth functioning of the business.
Entrepreneur differ from manager regarding conscientiousness, openness and agreeableness.
Entrepreneur has high conscientiousness, great opennesses but less agreeableness as compared
to manager (Peltier and Naidu, 2012.)
P6 Assessing the way aspects of entrepreneurial personality reflects entrepreneurial motivation
and mindset.
Trait approach can be used to identify entrepreneurial characteristics. OC theory can also be
adopted for demonstrating the entrepreneurial mindset and also for increasing the significant
role optimism and chance.
The Recognition of business idea is not only considered as commanding for entrepreneur, but
also realization of rare capabilities is essential. Any common person can generate idea but only
few people have the ability to realize and implement that idea. The entrepreneur has special
characteristic. It can be analysed that specific personality traits are correlated with the
motivation of businessperson. Personality trait and motivational structure are essential to
understand the mentality of the businessperson. Big five models can be used to identify the
personality trait among business person or self-employed.
Extraversion: This include entrepreneur with high energy, sociable, and seeks role of leader.
Agreeableness: These types of entrepreneur generally are of good nature, cooperative and
loyal. These types of individual have high bargaining power.
Conscientiousness: These type of individual are responsible as well as dependable person.
Entrepreneur are generally achievement oriented, efficient and dutiful.
Emotional Stability-It describes an individual those who have high level of self-confidence and
are generally high power of tolerating stress and have positive nature.

Openness to experience- These are those entrepreneurs who has been recognized by the ability
to identify new experience, exploring ideas, creative as well as innovative.
The business person has high scope of openness, extraversion, and conscientiousness. Motives
are the main element of entrepreneurial mindset. Personality can become an essential part of
mindset (Mason and Brown, 2013)

In the case of Elizabeth, it can easily identify that without technical knowledge, it
is very tough for her to develop effective business plan and implement the appropriate
business model in the market. The application of this fact in case 1.She has taken
initiative to seek advice from experts in order to develop understanding about the
suitable time for converting or changing service line. In additional to this
characteristics some distinct or unique quality is required to be posse by
individual that will help person in differentiating themselves with other person
and gaining competitive advantage. Elizabeth also have Instinct quality that has
allowed her to leave her job and start own business venture. The personal
experience of Elizabeth has provided her opportunity to increase risk bearing
capacity and provided her a chance to develop various skills in order to become
successful business person in life (Hayes,2014.) Job experience has enabled
Elizabeth to learn and gain knowledge about various techniques or method that has
benefited and allowed her to formulate effective plans, strategy and policies that
has assisted her in minimizing the effect of various external factors on business
operations (Chinomona and Ming‐Sung Cheng, 2013)
In case 2 Toms has done much hard work in finding suitable place for establishing
business. Tom has some specialised business abilities that has allowed him to
become successful business person ( Doppelt, 2017).
There is direct relationship between entrepreneurial abilities and background of person. There
are many cases in which the background of individual has created the barrier in future growth
of the person. The can even develop hurdles in individual success. In case of Elizabeth and top
those who are the successful entrepreneur their background has hindered the from achieving
