 An entrepreneur is an individual who makes money by
starting with a new idea and by their own business,
especially it involves taking risks and seeing a new
opportunity. Entrepreneurs have an important role in
terms of all kinds of business activity specially in the
case of start-up business

Traits, characteristics and skills of an entrepreneur
 There are different kinds of entrepreneurs in this business world
and according to their personality every entrepreneur has their
own skills, traits and characteristics.
 Peter Jones: He is a British entrepreneur and also a real
television personality who have interest in new technologies and
different kinds of services.

also known as Nancy Coring. In Philippines country, it is the
largest book store chain.
 Traits:: She has good confidence level and also hard working
lady in terms of achieving her targets within a set period of

is used by millions of customers. He is an entrepreneur who is world's richest investor and also a
philanthropist as well.
 Traits: Jeff Bezos has been an innovator and also a hard core realist personality. One of the most renowned
quality is that he is a competitive man.

Aspects of entrepreneurial personality
 Aspects of entrepreneurial personality can be
measured through a test which is named as
OCEAN model. This model major focus is
towards measuring a person's personality
characteristics and also support in terms of
identifying exact job role which matches
according to an individual personality.

 Openness to experience: Openness to
experience has been defined as complexity and
depth of an individual's mental experiences
and life. It is sometimes called as imagination
or intellect. For example, Jeff Bezos is a
personality who is always open for new
experiences and also want to innovate
something different to attract attention of the
market.

Background and experience can hinder or
foster entrepreneurship
 Background of Peter Jones: He was
born in Berkshire, England and his
passion towards tennis and business
makes him independent. Peter set up his
first company at the age of 16 and by the
age of 28 he became the youngest head of
PC business at computer firm Siemens
Nixdorf.

was born into a family of shopkeepers
and she also worked for her brother-in-
law. Socorro was thrown into poverty
after losing the family business and after
her marriage, she founded national book
store in the year of 1940.

as well. There are different kinds of entrepreneur in this world of business which includes local,
