Introduction
The term entrepreneurship is termed as a capacity of to create, sort out and deal with
another business in order to satisfy client’s request. The characteristic of business enterprise
is high hazard taking ways and improving new plans to enhance the competitive demand.
Entrepreneurs are the person who thinks of new business venture. They adjust to new
business methodologies so customers could be profited. In this report, one of the Australian
business visionary John Ilhan is considered. The attributes and characteristics he followed in
his success story are recorded. He has planned different strategies so that business activities

being an innovator. He came up with his own idea of opening up his own mobile phone shop
that was then expanded into one of the Australian biggest mobile company.

The entrepreneur that is considered in this report is John Ilhan, who is one of the
successful entrepreneurs of Australia. He was born in turkey in year 1965 but he migrated to
Australia with his family at the age of five(Zaheer, Breyer, Dumay and Enjeti, 2018).
During his academic career he as diversified interest in sports and was highly passionate
about athleticism and many other team games. His job promoted him to move towards
entrepreneurial move he opened up his own mobile phone store. The mobile phone store was
just a start-up which future expanded to become largest Australian company that is Telstra.
The idea achieved a huge success in the business world (Aziz, 2018). He overcame all the
challenges that are faced in the competitive industry and then became one of the recognized
organisations in Australia. In his entire career he faced various challenges one of the major
suffering was death of his younger brother (Businessinsider, 2018). He was ranked as a first
youngest rich entrepreneur of the country. Later, in year 2006 he expanded the business in
food allergy foundation that promoted the public support by removing the issues and causes
faced by the people in the society. Mr Illhan faced barriers but still has worked in a way to
overcome from all the losses (Durkin and Gunn, 2016). He is the founder of mobile

telephone company Crazy John's. His parents and wife were proven to be a support system
behind his success story (Jagannatharao, Bansal, Lisa and Nagendra, 2017). The path of
success was not easy he has faced various hindrances but the main motive was to offer
flexibility and benefits to the customers.

Some of the entrepreneurial traits and characteristics that were undertaken by John
Illhan are his interest and passion to fill the communication gap between people (Durkin and
Gunn, 2016). He found that people face challenges to communicate with their family situated
at far location. Thus, for this reason he developed various strategies so that legendary
services could be maintained (Wisse, Barelds and Rietzschel, 2015). He offered a platform
through which customers can connect to each other and reach out to families whenever
needed. He has worked on his business idea in the motive to offer a way of individual to

profit margins but still he gained $310 million. The attention of the business was towards
gaining philanthropic pursuits. Some of the traits that helped John Illhan was strong and stiff
determination that helped him to accomplish his business idea. He faced various failures in
the entire journey but these challenges are the part of every entrepreneur’s journey (Conner,
M.et. al, 2015). The reason he was successful was his passion to bring up new platform
through which individual can communicate easily.
It was his innovative idea and leadership skill that helped him to guide all the staff and
overcome from the entire difficult situation (Conner, M.et. al, 2015). John Illans did not
work in the motive of earning money but he was more into concerned in betterment as he
donated money in various charity centres (Wisse, Barelds and Rietzschel, 2015).
Opportunity recognition and idea development process
The objective that was set by John was to deliver better services to the customers. He
built a channel through which audience can communicate with each other easily and enhance
their overall operations. The idea was to make communication fast and easy by considering
