INTRODUCTION
Environment is the surroundings of human beings which involves everything that is the
part of ecosystem. It is necessary for the individuals as well as organisations to take corrective
actions for make the environment healthy (Chivu and et.al., 2017). Everyday the environment is
badly affected due to the industrial waste emissions and irresponsible nature of employees. This
report will be discussing the environment of Romania. Romania is the south-eastern European
country. This report will also cover important elements related to the environment such as
pollution, endangered species, risk of global warming and climate change, conservation,
deforestation and soil pollution. It is necessary for individuals that they should give importance
to the environment as they are using natural resources and it is the responsibility to ensure the
optimum utilisation.

Aims and objectives
Aims: “To analyse the environment of Romania.”
Objectives:
 To analyse pollution, water, and air of Romania.
 To identify and evaluate endangered species of Romania.
 To demonstrate risks of climate change and global warming.
 To evaluate deforestation, conservation and soil pollution in Romania.
Literature review
To analyse pollution, water, and air of Romania.
According to Hagiu and Barbulescu, 2019, it is found in today's business environment
that day by day the pollution is increasing everywhere which not only affects on environment but
also on individual life. Pollution decreases the value of life as it creates poison in every species'
life. Pollution is defines as the introduction of harmful materials in the environment. It is crucial
for a company that they should reduce the emissions of harmful materials in the environment.
Harmful materials are considered as the pollutants which create pollution in environment. There
are mainly two important pollution are facing in the environment that are water and air.

Everyday it is found that water is contaminated due to the harmful pollutants. Romania also
identified that pollution causes many air quality problems. Due to these pollutants, water and air
become unsafe for living beings. This is the reason that Romania took a aggressive stance in
order to set the environmental laws by joining European Union in 2007. It is found that
government resolution 152/2005 is focusing on pollution controlling and deterrence by taking
necessary steps for decreasing air, water and soil pollution. Living beings are negatively
impacted due to the pollutions as it is badly impact on their health.
To identify and evaluate endangered species of Romania.
According to Păunescu and Molnar, 2020, endangered species are the species that are in
the high risk of extinction in the environment. There are many reasons of increasing endangered
species in which one of the important reason is pollution. Everyday it becomes crucial for
individual;s and governments to take necessary corrective measures in order to save their
endangered species. The pollutions gives a negative impact on the life of endangered species.
Their life are in risk. The reason is pollution polluted an environment due to which endangered
species are not able to live and their life comes into danger. This is the step of a big disaster in
which no one living being will be able to live in the polluted environment.
To demonstrate risks of climate change and global warming.
According to Stratulat and et.al., 2020, the pollution is providing a negative impact on
climate and global warming. It is found that climate is changing due to the pollution which is not
good for environment. The risk of climate change is increasing every year and it is found by the
climate forecasters that it become more worse in coming 2-3 years. This is very bad for our
lifestyle as agriculture mostly affected due to the pollution. Climate change in environment
provides many hazardous risks to the ecosystem such as floods, heat waves, droughts, forest
changes, forest fire events, agriculture, etc. In recently, it is found that the Amazon was badly
damage due to the fire that was very long. The main reason of this fire was climate change. It
results in a big disaster that was created a heavy pollution and damage life of many species.
There are many negative consequences will be face by human beings if they are not
taking corrective actions for global warming such as increase in heatwave, infectious diseases,
decreasing in agricultural productivity, asthma and other respiratory diseases. Due to that,
Romania took actions with the assistance of European Union in 2005. they developed National

strategy and action plan on Climate change. In Romania, it is found that they are feeling changes
in temperature, precipitation changes, sea level rises, etc. are all the part of climate change.
To evaluate deforestation, conservation and soil pollution in Romania.
Deforestation
According to Păunescu and Blid, 2017, deforestation is defined as the process of cutting
trees purposefully especially forested land. This will results in increase in heat and many
pollutions. Deforestation is the permanent removal of trees in forests. It is identified by Romania
that deforestation is increasing and due to this it reduces the life quality of people. Deforestation
causes many adverse impact on the life of living beings. This is the reason that Romania make
alliances with the European Union so that they will be able to reduce the negative impacts of
deforestation. It is found that this is necessary for them to take actions. There are many negative
impacts found such as loss of trees and other vegetation. This will results in climate change, loss
of habitats, water in atmosphere, increased in greenhouse gas, soil erosion, flooding, destruction
of homeland people, etc. This is the reason that government of Romania should control
deforestation in their environment so that they will be able to reduce the negative impacts. It is
crucial for organisations also that they should limit their production with the optimum utilisation
so that they will also contribute in protecting our environment. Deforestation should be in
limitation, otherwise living beings will face many negative consequences. It is also found that
companies needs to make sure about the events as they are in danger. The reason of increasing
endangered species in Romania is deforestation.
Conservation
According to Baldan and Vasilică, 2021, conservation is defined as the process of caring
and protection of resources so that future generation will be able to use natural resources also. It
is found by UN reports that the current running activities are pushing towards a disaster.
Conservation is including maintaining diversity of genes, species, ecosystems, etc. This will also
helps in maintaining nutrient cycling. It is much similar to preservation. But their methods are
different. Conservation can be done in four ways that are animal conservation, human
conservation, marine conservation and environmental conservation. It is identified that human
existences becomes impossible if people are not focusing on conservation. There are many
environmental NGO's found in Romania that are running for the purpose of creating awareness

towards conservations. NGO found after 1989 and their overall objective is to formulate
environmental policy. There is a Foundation Conservation Carpathia aims to creating a world
class wilderness reserve in Southern Romanian Carpathians.
Soil pollution
According to Pîrşoi, 2020, soil pollution is defined as the mixture of pollutants in soil
which destroy the soil fertility. Due to the mixture of pollutants in soil, it is found that the soil
quality become worse for the use of agriculture. This is very important for agriculture field that
the soil should posses all the nutrients which are necessary for growing crops. But if it is
identified that the quality of soil is not good then it becomes impossible for the farmers to grow
crops. There are many reasons which polluted the soil such as contamination of metals such as
inorganic salts and ions. This is very important for the factories that they should limit their
wastes as it destroy the fertility of soil. There are many effects found due to the soil pollution
such as effect on human health, plants and ecosystems. Human health is badly impacted due to
the soil pollution. The crops and plants are growing in polluted soil that makes the poor quality
of food (Preda, 2020). This will automatically impact on the health of people.
Data collection
This report will be undertake secondary data collection in order to investigate the
environment of Romania. Data collection can be done in two ways that are primary and
secondary data collection. Primary data collection is complex in order to investigate the
environment of Romania. That's why secondary data collection method is used in order to
investigate the environment.
Data analysis
In Romania, it is analysed that air and water pollution are increasing caused by industry
(Morosan-Danila and Bordeianu, 2020). This is becoming environmental issue in Romania. It
includes power plants, manufacturing facilities, and chemical plants are relying on burning fossil
fuels. It results in acid rain and high level of greenhouse gas that creates sulphur dioxide.
Endangered species include animals, plants, and other organisms (Stoian, 2021). There are many
endangered species found in Romania such as The chamois, Carpathian brown bear, Fallow deer,
Bisons, Lynx, Red aigrette, Little egret, Hoopoe, Red shelduck, Dropia, Red duck, Sângele

voinicului, etc. There are two main reason for endangered species that are loss of genetic
variation and loss of habitat. In addition to this, it is necessary for every individual and
government that they should understand the importance of endangered species. In addition to
this, it becomes very important for every country that they should take some course of actions as
it is not only impact on a specific region but also every region get adversely affected. On the
other hand, global warming is another disaster that is increasing everyday due to the pollution.
According to the UN reports, it is identified that global warming gives a severe impact on the
human life (Lucut and et.al., 2020). This is very important for the government that they should
make a strategic alliance which assists in controlling of global warming. Deforestation reduces
the quality of air and pollutes air that create air pollution. It is identified that trees have a power
to reduce the harmful gases in environment. But due to increase in deforestation, trees are cutting
which increases the chances of harmful gases. Conservation is focusing on sustainable use of
natural resources by human beings. On the other hand, preservation is protecting our nature from
human use. Environment is getting polluted badly and that's why it becomes very important for
all human beings that they should understand the importance of conservation. It becomes the
need of individual to conserve our environment by making changes in our use. Soil pollution
includes contaminants and pollutants which destroy the fertility of soil. Industrial waste is one of
the important factor that increases soil pollution. There are many hazardous pollutants present in
the industrial wastes such as lead, mercury, etc.
Discussion
There is a discussion of environment of Romania which is known because of their large
Medieval castles and Transylvania Forest. It is the 12th largest country in Europe. It is found that
country's economy is known because of their grain and oil production. Their Black sea coast and
tourism also very famous. It is very important for them to focus on environmental issues as it is
necessary for their survival. It is found by Romania that everyday there is a increase in
endangered species and one of the main reason is industrialisation. Industrialisation is increasing
every day which create pollution in the environment. This is the responsibility of every
individual in which they need to act responsibly and try to reduce pollution. It is very important
for the human beings that they should limit their consumption of woods and other related
material which assists in reducing the negative impact of deforestation. This can be improved

with the assistance of reforestation which is the opposite of deforestation. Environmental
conservation is becoming an issues in now-a-days as it is necessary in order to battle global
warming and climate change. Due to soil pollution, it is also found that farmers are not able to
grow the crops and it increases the chances of drought. That's why it is crucial to take preventive
measures in order to reduce soil pollution.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above discussion that environment is very important for our
lifestyle and that's why it is crucial for every individual that they should perform activities which
cannot effect adversely. This is very important for the governments and individuals to make their
environment healthy. This report discussed the environment of Romania in which it included
pollution such as air and water. It is found that Romania make an alliance with European Union
in order to protect their environment. They analysed that industrial wastes are increasing
everyday and it results in climate change and global warming. This report also discussed
deforestation, endangered species, conservation, an soil pollution. It is necessary for individuals
to understand their responsibility towards environment.
