Objectives of the Presentation
• This presentation will help to analyze the management of cultural heritage
sites in depth as well as the development of the tourism
• Also help to analyze tourism visitation of the heritage site selected
• Assist in investigation of the problems happening at the selected cultural
heritage location and providing recommendation of rational and logical
solutions to get sustainable results
• Will also help to know and analyze the profiles of the visitors of the selected
cultural heritage site
• This presentation will help to generate recommendations in relation to
sustainable development of tourism at the selected heritage site
• Will assist to analyze the present conservation as well as sustainability
concepts and strategies
• Providing recommendations to shortcomings in management opportunities

Introduction
• The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system in the world
• It can be seen from the outer space
• The reef supports wide variety of life
• It was selected as a World Heritage Site in the year 1981 (Authority, 2014)

Human Use and Management
• The Great Barrier Reef are used by the Aboriginal
Australian as well as Torres Strait Islander people for a
long time
• The people known as Aboriginal Australians are living in
the area from the last 40,000 years at least (Authority, 20
16)
• The people from Torres Strait Islanders are living in the
same place from the last 10,000 years (Authority, 2016)
