ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Introduction Artificial Intelligence is growing at a rapid rate and influencing the opinion and behavior of a large number of people. Increasing in the representation of men for design of the technologies has resulted in development of gender in-equality. Human have come with critical theory which is required for decision making and avoiding their biasing on personal experience. Machine learning is all about learning a list of things from the observed data (Forrester 2014). With the passage of time, there has been ongoing awareness about the effect of bias of machine learning. Developers of artificial intelligence are onlythe overwhelmingly male. It focuses on avoiding any kind of gender biased algorithm that influences the decision in the present society. Diversity is found to be as one of the important area of machine learning which is found to be important one (Abidin, Jaafar and Alwi 2019). Diversity is found to be development of different machine learning algorithm which can accelerate the solution of the given issue. In the coming pages of the essay, an idea has been provided about gender bias and artificial intelligence with respect to system thinking for developing solution for sustainability issues. The next section of the report deals with wicked problem on gender bias and AI that can be applied with respect to system thinking and iceberg model.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Discussion Sustainability can be defined as meeting the requirement or need of present day with comprising the ability of future needs for meeting their needs. Sustainability comprises of three pillars which are economic, social and environment also known as profit, panel and people. The mere focus of sustainability is all about framing decision with respect to years and decades in the upcoming quarter earnings report (Assaraf and Orion 2015). The organization makes use of certain goals that will work with them. In most of the cases, the goal of an organization is found to be reasonable which will cut out the sustainability marks. Sustainability stands out to be as an important aspect of corporate ethics which provides response for public discontent for long term damage. It merely comes into picture as a result of short-term profits. Investor’s may be wary for different organization which focus on sustainability. There is optics which are found to be beneficial for overall share prices. In addition, investors are worry about the organization for being transparent with respect to earnings (Mjema 2018). Big brands aim to complete pledge on sustainability which takes up huge time for having the sustainability goals. Wicked issues are the one which has many kind of interdependent factors which makes it possible for them to solve. As a result of incomplete, flux and difficulty for defining, wicked problemcanbeusedforhavingacriticalunderstandingwithrespecttotheinvolved stakeholders. The best kind of solution is mainly provided by the help of design think (Nordby et al. 2016). System thinking aims to expand the given range of choices that is required for solving a problem. This can be achieved by increasing our thinking and addressing the issues from different angles. As per the principle of system thinking, there is no perfect solution that is the choice will have impact on different parts of the system (Eilam and Reisfeld 2017). System
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT thinking is all about addressing valuable compelling stories which reveals about the working of a system. The essay deals with the idea of Gender bias in Artificial intelligence that is the need of diversity and gender theory in machine learning. Gender bias is all describing the group of men and women. Father is most of cases is described as family man where there is no similar term like family women. Some of the occupational term which are being used in relation to women which are pre-modified by help of gender specification like “Female layer and women judge”. It merely highlights their existence so that they counter the societal expectation (Anon 2019). The second kind of manifestation is gender bias is all about decline for androcentric terms like ‘man’ and ‘him’ that is referred to both men and women. Considering the groups, there are huge number of expectation where individual is in question for that particular gender. That particular gender can be used for referring two both men and women in the group. Gender bias is completely related to three pillars of sustainability. In various debate, artificial intelligence is considered to be well known topic for gender bias. Since the year 1960, it is related to gender equality. It is found to be an important as the scientist from the computer science domain put their view for the negative consequence of women that is gender bias (Design, Design and Design 2019). Seminal work highlighted the ways in which gender ideology are completely embedded in language. It can easily influence the people view about women. Gender ideologies is mainly embedded in various textual source which result in various kind of machine learning algorithm. Women aims to highlight much higher echelons for leadership which is seen in various spectrum of business, military and organization. Women make up around half of the population of work force of united states. It is not enough for teaching girls about how they can lead about

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT women and girl (Model 2019). This is merely encouraging the girls to have conversation with peers, taking risk and handling different conflicts. Wicked issues are found to be social and cultural issues which are very much difficult to follow as a lack of knowledge. In addition, it followsthenumberofopinionandpeoplethatareinvolved, economicissuesand interconnectedness. Underrepresentation of women in leadership position is mainly seen for male dominated fields which is a wicked issue (Assaraf and Orion 2015). As a lack of visible role for model and mentors, wicked issue for organization aims address the training and support groups. Most of the Grassroots organization aim to create intersecting programs which can provide opportunities to some of the young girls for building leadership skill and self-confidence. This will merely allow girls and boys for gaining experience of leaders of both the gender. It will merely allow the participants for expressing their view for safe and non-biased environment. Wicked issue of addressing gender bias is all about understanding the leadership which can be accomplished by the help of design thinking. There is generally more than one cause along with one solution for the given wicked problem. The mere focus is all about not fixing the issue of gender bias in the society but instead of that it emphasizes on analyzing the negative effect and change in overall direction of society and culture in positive way (Forrester 2014). There is need of applying design thinking problem solving techniques for gender bias that provides leadership opportunities. This will allow the application of different perspective to represent the community groups, political parties and business organization. It is merely needed for rapid prototyping that brings up solution to the given problem. At present, there is no specific answer for society about bias with respect to women capacity for leadership (Abidin, Jaafar and Alwi 2019). With the help of design thinking local organization can easily carry out changes in the community.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT All the required developments for human challenges in twenty first century is due to highly complex in nature. System thinking mainly takes into account the interaction in between various part of system. It mainly aims to take into account how it will affect the change instead for looking some specific components that are in isolation. System thinking can be considered to be an important aspect which is needed for understanding the sustainable and transformative change (Mjema 2018). Adaptation of system thinking need huge number of practices which are provided in together way. It aims to provide the most suitable and effective way in the complex system which requires to deal with. It is merely inclusive of shift away from fixed and long term planning which needs to be much more iterative and adaptive planning. A focus is done the multi-stakeholders so that it can co-create with some of the local stakeholders. There is need of search for generic which is completely based on good practices for the present paradigm. It merely helps in having the conceived ideas which have the ability for understanding the local context. There is need of increasing the work across in different boundaries (Nordby et al. 2016). It is all about reducing the overall differences in power bringing various ideas and perspective which result in deeper understanding of the system. The overall idea of system thinking is linear cause and effect which is very much insufficient for describing the complex and changes in overall situation. System thinking is completely characterized by interrelation with different parts of the system (Nordby et al. 2016). The overall development of the parties can be analyzed by the help of important parts of the system. For strengthening a community, user need to have an understanding with respect to gender social and economic contribution. In addition, it focuses on analyzing the hopes and concern for each and every gender for different age group. All the individual elements aim to
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT provide support for overall community development (Anon 2019). The mere focus is all about analyzing the individual member along with interaction with each other. Implicit aims to drive own explicit behavior which guides perspective and decision. Considering the assumption, there is need of having an understanding which drives out the decision and overall behavior. It mere comes into picture for improving the overall behavior and broadening approach. Fig 1: Ice-Berg Model (Source: Assaraf and Orion 2015) Human centered approach of design thinking will help the organization to minimize the bias which affect recruitment, development and retention. Making use of strategic changes for transformation is how a given situation has been designed (Design, Design and Design 2019).

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Design thinking aims to provide the organization with powerful method which is required for recognizing and minimizing the impact of implicit bias in the present workplace. By the help of creative, collaborative and iterative way of problem solving, design is mainly used for grounding experiences. The mere focus of real people is all about creating a solution. This will merely help the business leaders in understanding the facets of culture and decision making. It is generally driving the overall outcomes along with implementing changes for counteracting with implicit bases with respect to gender. Design thinking approach is customizable for each of the firm, resources, people and their overall need. It will help the organization in having a much better understanding how gender bias after the work experience of women (Forrester 2014). In addition, it provides effective ways for tackling the rising issues. By the help of user-centered focus on redesign environment, the approach can be found to be an effective tool for addressing different issues with respect to women recruitment, retention and development. There are mainly five stages of design that are explore, identify, Ideate, test and lastly evaluate. Conclusion The point can be concluded that this essay is all about gender bias and artificial intelligence with respect to system thing and sustainable issues. In the above of the essay, wicked issue for gender bias has been applied to system thinking and iceberg model. A system is mainly used by judge for setting up parole which is needed for evaluation of likelihood of offending. At present, facial recognition system is mainly embedded in most of the smart system so that it can be used for working for white and male. Machine learning has the capability of processing of huge amount of data which can address this. If the collected data is all about the resulting
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT application of technology, then it will increase the gender bias. Proper awareness of research and incorporation of machine learning from textual will help in preventing any kind of gender-biased algorithm. Leading thinker is a growing field which addresses the bias of artificial intelligence. Gender balance in machine learning is an important aspect for preventing the algorithm from gender ideologies.
