INTRODUCTION Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a procedure to evaluate environmental impacts of a Suitable project or development in consideration with inter- related cultural human impacts , socio-economic both interms of beneficial and adverse(Ivanova. and et.al.,2016). Present report lays emphasis on Mordialloc Freeway project and the role of EIA in directing the design as well as revising the project during the initial stage. It also discusses about the detailing of controversies, social as well as ecological impacts which are related both in terms of construction and in operation phase.Furthermost it also focuses on the detailed assessment of project against three most relevant UN sustainable development goals. 1.Background of the project along with the relevant EIA policies. Background of the project is that it is a major road EES project in which the impact of EIApoliciesisconsidered.EIAisappliedtotheactualprojectsbytheCompaniesor individual(Barrett. and Therivel, 2019).
