1. Environmental audit program and ways of establishing, monitoring and reviewing
Environmental audit is an effective tool used to comply with regulations by federal
agencies. Main aim of developing this program is improving operations' efficiency and
conserving labour resources. It also helps in knowing about effectiveness of performance of
environmental management system (Hakim and Yunus, 2017)
For establishing and implementing, audit environmental compliance advisor must
identify mitigation of audit program, select engagement of auditors. Some roles are being
performed by project environmental advisor and contractual environmental manager.
For monitoring both project environmental advisor and contractual environmental manager
review reports and give feedbacks to audit team regarding: root cause of environmental breach,
Conformity with EAP etc.
2. Information required in environmental statement for Eco management and audit system
Eco management and environmental system is qualitative instruments, developed for
helping out companies for accessing, managing as well as improving their environmental
performance and increase sustainability. Some information required in environmental statement
include: accurate data that reports to the public on the company's structure, their activities,
management and environmental policy system (Alflatt, 2017). Their environmental aspects along
with impacts that they have, their objectives and target of environmental programs and
legislations applicable by them.
3. Planning for carrying out pre-certification audit for third party organization to access EMS
There are some 5 major steps that should be followed for making pre-certification audit such as:
Pre-audit survey: In this stage, risk based assessment is being done and appropriate
information are being gathered from appropriate sources. It may include: previous ISMS reports,
industry research, identification of stakeholders.
Planning and preparation: After agreeing ISMS audit, planning is being done regarding
timing and resources by auditors. Gantt chart, conventional project charts tools are being used.
Fieldwork: In this stage, auditors interview for employing skilled workforces. ISMS
reports are being reviewed.

Analysis: Detailed analysis are being done for knowing gaps within the evidence and
also knowing requirements of more audit tests.
Reporting: Draft audit is being presented with management for taking action plan.
4. Pros and cons of certification to ISO 14001 and registration to the Eco management and audit
scheme.
Benefits of implementing ISO 14001:
 Cost saving by recycling products and wastes.
 Better compliance with individual countries environmental regulations.
 Shows responsibility towards sustainability
JR consultant company on the UK is ISO certified and there are several companies that are ISO
certified and required having all information.
Cons
 If it is not done properly then it can increase overall cost of the company.
 There are requirements of a lot of administration work (Sorooshian, Qi and Li Fei, 2018).
EMAS
 EMAS registration plays a vital role as it helps company in reducing cost related to waste
management.
 Helps in taking competitive advantages
Requirements: Environmental policy, review of policy, environmental management system and
technical support.
5. Requirements for ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 report
ISO 14001:
 There are requirements of having responsible person that can coordinate all information
of EMS.
 Identification of the way in which organizations communicate with the environment.
 Identification of all environmental impacts.
 Monitoring of effectiveness and progress.
ISO 14004
 Clear explanation of principles of ISO 14001.

 Pollution prevention tools and guidelines.
 Strategies for resource use strategies (Baek, 2018).
