Title
Can Earth Mother last?
The thesis statement of the essay is “Can Earth Mother and continue to face various problems
and social issues”. In the poem the poet wants to convey that Earth mother provides various
facilities and healing the wounds of the profits makers and support them by providing better
positive environment by which one can think more positive and can remain healthy. Therefore,
in this poem poet is praising the Earth Mother. Further, the overall summary of the poem is
discussed by describing the message which poet wants to convey in some lines.
Effecting the Earth Mother
Through the lines poet is conveying that by getting the various benefits and support from the
Earth Mother that is it improve the health of the individual by preventing the stress level, anxiety
of the person and also raise the emotional well-being of individual. Through this person can still
focus on various important activities. However, still we people influence the Earth Mother in
negative manner. In poem poet describes that it is affected due to continuously increasing of
scourge as well as rape these all negative behavior continuously suffered by the Earth Mother. It
is because we people believe that Earth Mother is highly strong to deal with various difficult
circumstances (Estok).
Raise Acquainted
The line “A Thunder comes to awaken” means that thunder comes to aware the people regarding
the negative things they do which damage the overall Earth, Mother . But still we continue to do
the things which are highly dangerous through which various people has to suffer more in the
long run (Sollereder). It is because poet is conveying that at the time of thunder people are still
sleeping and does not understand the sign of Earth, Mother. Further, which can force the Earth,
Mother to do various other dangerous things that is increasing the floods in various other places,
in this poet focus on describing that we people force the Earth, Mother and increase the path for
raising Cyclones, Hurricanes etc. in the Earth, Mother . In poem poet is conveying that we

people are the major reason for affecting the Earth and giving raise to the other dangerous and
uncertainty activities.
Can Earth Mother last?
The above line is the main title of the report and one of the lines described by the poet in poem in
which poet is conveying the message with the question mark by demonstrating the feeling of the
Earth, Mother. In which Earth is saying that I am certain but you people are strong enough to still
continuing the activities that which Earth, Mother is suffering and damaged. Therefore, in the
line “Can Earth, Mother can last” is the question which poet is asking from us that by
continuously doing these activities we think Earth, Mother will last in the future and remain
strong.
Conclusion
From the investigation, it is concluded that we are destroying the Earth, Mother being knowing
of the fact that it will be dangerous and increase the damage. Further, poem describes the
emotions and feelings of Earth, Mother by providing the information about the damages and pain
which Earth suffers.
