TOPIC:- “To examine the value and need of cultural diversity within an
organisation. A study on Tesco.
INTRODUCTION
Some important factors which are related to the right of employees and staff working
within an organisation known as equality & diversity. It is very important for any company to
manage the rights and equalities of staff for effective management (Boyle, 2017). Employee
motivation is enhanced by providing equal rights to the employees. The company considered in
the following report is Tesco. This is a supermarket chain of UK. This company take essential
care of employee’s benefits and rights. Gantt chart and work breakdown structure is also given.
This report includes qualitative and quantitative research.

Literature Review
Equality & diversity within the organization.
Diversity as well as equality are used the management of workplace in an effective
manner (Clinton, and Whisnant, 2019). Staff and employees working in Tesco must be provided
equal rights for doing their work properly. There are different type of regulations and rights
adopted by Tesco for managing the work in effective manner. All the organisations give equal

opportunities to their employees so that they will be having motivation towards working in the
company.
Benefits of equality & diversity for Tesco
It is said that there are two main components for providing motivation to the employees
and these are equality and diversity. It is very essential for the companies to ensure that they are
providing all equal opportunities to staff and employees. When fair treatment and pay is
provided to employees they feel involved within workplace and they are dedicated for working.
Tesco is a supermarket company that ensures equal pay for all employees.
Various strategies of equality & diversity
The views of Rabovsky, and Lee, (2018) says that strategies and plans are to be developed
by the company before starting diversity and equality within workplace. The first and foremost
thing is to provide attractive and fair pay to all employees and staff (Crane, and Matten, 2016).
Tesco has to analyse different factors such as culture or background of people, then it is able to
fulfil demands of employees and staff.
P2 PMP
This is known as the method used by the researchers to know which activity of research is
done at what time and duration (Deresky, 2017). This is helpful in doing the project work
properly and knowing how the research can be conducted in specified time frame. The PDP for
the following research is mentioned below –
Cost This is defined as the fixed amount of money
that is analysed for accomplishing the research
activities tasks. It is important for the
researcher to have enough budget for
completing all the activities of project. In order
to complete this research, the amount of money
estimated is £ 40,000. The researcher of Tesco
has to manage that all the activities and tasks
are done properly by using this amount of
money.

Scope Scope is an important element for evaluating
the value of research aim for the company. It is
seen that Tesco will be able to analyse the
perspective of motivating it’s employees in
order to do have gender pay equal rights.
Time There are different tasks and activities in the
research which are completed within different
intervals. The time taken for completing this
research is 6 months. Research objectives will
be accomplished within this time.
Communication Communication is the key factor for attaining
goals and objectives of the research. It is
important for the researcher that there is proper
communication among the respondents and
investigator so that better results are made for
the research (Dutta, and Bose, 2015). The
various ways used by researcher to
communicate secondary aspects. These are
used in order to get good results.
Quality There are secondary as well as primary data
used for collecting the data and accomplishing
goals of the research.
Resources The resources required for completing the
research are land, finance, money, etc. it is
ensured that Tesco is having all the resources
for completing the research ( Glukhov, Ilin,
and Levina, 2015).

P3 Gantt chart & Work Break down Structure
Work Break down structure:
WBS is structure with various activities of projects which are performed in specified time
and these are to be distributed for completing the work in proper manner.
Gantt chart:
Gantt chart is the representation that a researcher uses while conducting a successful
research (Hillary, ed., 2017).
