INTRODUCTION
Equity and diversity is important to introduce in the working premises so that business
can survive and sustain in the global market (Allen and Blackham, 2018). In order to gain
competitive advantages it is essential to introduce diverse culture in the working premises.
People with varied culture, region, gender, colour, tradition, believe and so on working under
one roof helps them organization to be in the leading position as they come up with creative idea
continuously. Equality is must among male and female in order to retain skilled and capable
employees at the workplace. Pentagon Oldham Vauxhall is undertaken to complete the research
work properly in the set deadline. This organization closes it services at 5PM. It is located in
Chadderton way, Oldham OL12Ql, United Kingdom. It is dealing in car and has successfully
spread it's 13 branches across North of England. Employees of this business are working day and
night to meet the set goals and objectives. This assignment covers aims and objectives of the
research. Primary and secondary research is conducted with the help of appropriate method for
business research project. Suitable tools and techniques are studied for data analysis. Reflection
is given on the effectiveness of research method used for accomplishing objectives of business
research project.

Overview of the research
Equality and diversity plays a vital role in an organization. These are two important
aspects in today's world through which business can flourish in the international market
smoothly. In the competitive market place those organization can compete with rivalry who are
introducing equality and diversity at the workplace. In order to retain skilled and capable
employees it is very essential to pay equal remuneration to employees who are working on the
same post despite of any gender (Berrey, Nelson and Nielsen, 2017) . By this healthy working
environment can be build for co-workers and productive results can be attained easily in the set
deadline. In order to formulate tough benchmark for competitors prevailing in the market it is

essential to hold back capable and skilled workers in their organization by paying equal
remuneration to employees weather they are male for female working on the same position.

Rational:
The main reason of conducting this research is to understand the influence of workplace
discrimination on employees performance (Blackham, 2016). By conducting this research
influence of work discrimination on day to day working is identified so that measures can be
taken to overcome the negative impact on employees overall performance in the global market.
This research will guide distinguish ways to uplift skilled workers performance which is a
positive mark for the business. This research is conducted to better understand how work
discrimination can be abolished from the working premises. By doing so productive results can
be attained in the competitive market place. Also, business can be in the leading position among
it's competitors.

Meaning of workplace discrimination in an organization.
According to Alison Doyle, 2019, workplace discrimination is stated as discrimination
against job applicant or subordinates working in an organization. It is created at the workplace
when candidate are treated unfairly because of religion, caste, gender, age, language, colour,
nationality and many more. In an organization this type of discrimination is considered as illegal.
If such activities are taking place in the premises then goodwill of the company decreases at a
tremendous scale in the market as well as in the eyes of the customers.

According to Jill. Harness, 2019, workplace discrimination has been problem from
decades (Bowl, 2018). Huge influence is faced by organization as well as by employees working
in the premises like, it effect their mental healthy and physical well being. Discrimination also
creative negative atmosphere due top which unproductive outcomes are attained and financial
losses are faced. Management of the organization should frame strong strategies in order to
reduce the rate of discrimination in the workplace by which strong position among it's
competitors can be build.
Various ways by which work discrimination can be eliminated from workplace.
According to Brian Osborne, 2013, there are various ways to eliminate workplace
discrimination. By educating regarding discrimination, respond on ethical behaviour, train
supervisor to respond to discrimination in the workplace, workforce policy are enforced, motive
staff members to respect each other culture and differences and many more. By doing so
workplace discrimination can be reduced to a large extent and better results can be achieved. It
also leads in retaining capable and skilled employees for longer time duration.

Research Methodology
Data collection: In completion of this research project both primary and secondary data
collection method is used. The data collected from the method are authentic and reliable in
nature. In case of primary data collection method questionnaire, survey, interview and so on they
are more correct and fresh as information are directly collected from respondents. This type of
information are not used by researcher in their findings earlier so that chances or duplication is
less. Secondary data collection method involves, books, journals, articles, newspaper and so on.
All this sources provide authentic data for the topic which aid in getting best outcomes.
Types of research: There are two types of research quantitative and qualitative approach.
Researcher adopts quantitative research in order to complete the report on the given topic.
Quantitative approach uses more of mathematical figure , pie chart and diagram so as to
interpretate the allocated data (Durrani and Rajagopal, 2016). As many diagram and numerical
data are used in the report so it become easy for reader to capture the information from the
finding easily. Qualitative approach mainly focus on quality of the project and no use of
mathematical figure is done in data analysis.

Sampling: With an investigate convenience sampling will be used by researcher because
it not require additional time and cost of an organization. By this set goals and objectives of the
project can be accomplished in the set time frame. With the help of this sampling 30 employees
of Pentagon Oldham Vauxhall will be selected.
Research ethics: Research ethics is one of the most important kind of tool for the
researcher that helps to check the viability of the results in order to gain potential outcomes from
collective data and information. To gain reliable data it is very much important to collect
information from large no. of respondents so that view and beliefs of candidates should be
collected to reach at decisive position. With the help of primary and secondary source of
information organisation can be able to collect potential kind of knowledge and information in
positive manner.
` Research limitation:While conducting the research and development there are some
issues or concerns that are faced by the researcher while collecting the knowledge and
information such as problem in formulation of aim and objective, selection in tools and
techniques and lack in data security so it is very much important to collect information and data
in very proper manner so that authenticity of information should be maintained in positive
manner (Gassman‐Pines, 2015).
Research reliability and validity: The reliability of data and information plays very
much critical role as it enhance the value of results that are obtained by the organisation. It is one
of most crucial part of research and needed to accomplish in proper manner.

information and data for completing primary and secondary research in effective manner. Most
