INTRODUCTION
In recent time, management in any company faces a lot of challenges to reduce staff
absenteeism and retain skilled as well as talented workers with them for long. They adopt
different types of techniques and use several approaches such as employee engagement, success
celebration and others. The current assignment will explain to what extent do individual think
that employee engagement is a good approach or not in context of reducing staff absence.

Employees engagement is extent to which staff feel passionate about his or her jobs, put
discretionary attempt into their work and are highly committed to company. It considered as
workplace approach using by many employers resulting in appropriate conditions for all
applicant of an firm to give their best each day, motivated to support to organizational success,
committed to their business values & aims, with an enhanced sense of their own well being (Why
is Employee Engagement Important? 14 Benefits Backed By Research, 2019). It can be said that,
at high extent this concept is really very good and one of the best ideas for those who implement
it to reduce candidates absence at workplace, which may be impact on productivity level.
Employee engagement concept is based on integrity, trust and two way communication and
commitment between a company and its applicants.
It is all about positive behaviour and attitudes leading to improved business result, in a
manner that they reinforce and trigger one another (Sudiro and Sudjatno, 2017). Management
according to this concept should treat their staff fairly and recognize their attempts and then plan
to appraise them which in turn increase motivational and productivity level of each person at
workplace in effective manner. Most firms efforts to create and spread positive environment and
culture in work areas that reflect their mission, values and aims and some actively concentrated
on engaging applicants as a main driver of growth and long term success.
It analysed that workers who are engaged at work are more likely to be productive and
came office on consistent basis, which lead to more profit and revenue even better than the
others. According to Gallup Data, firms with a high degree of engagement report more than 22%
higher productivity (Crnogaj and Rozman, 2017). Employers are effectively and quickly
considering this trend and investing more in this idea which is actually quite beneficial in term of
retaining knowledgeable applicants with business and achieving common aims of an

organization. In fact, in many companies it has been identified that highly engaged work area
saw over 41% lower absenteeism that is really very good. Management can make plan to reward
good attendance that also work to achieve above aim and help to gain attention of new players.
CONCLUSION
From above analysis, it has been concluded that by using employee engagement approach
in business activities mangers effectively reducing absenteeism, in fact it make them able to
drive skilled workers towards company for working much better than before. It helps to build
strong workforce who are able to give tough competition to competitors by performing with high
commitment.
