1. Description of article
This articles and study is randomised controlled trial designed which is being used to test
long term safety as well as efficacy of aerobic exercise training along with evidence based
medical therapy Effects of Exercise Training on Health Status in Patients with Chronic Heart
Failure, (2009).
KCCQ is a 23-item self-administered disease-specific questionnaire which can help in
getting appropriate scores including: symptoms, physical limitations, life quality, outcomes etc.
This questionnaire is also known as self administrated clinical visit.
For data analysis, statistical analysis is being used for getting outcomes and data in numbers
form. In this analysis effective expected sample size of around 1323 patients per group were
being provided 90% statistical power for detecting 2.16 greater differences between treatments
Papasavvas, Alhashemi & Micklewright, (2017).
2. PICO framework
To identify effectiveness and health outcomes of physical exercise and medications on
older adults with chronic disease as compare to those with only using standard medications. This
presented article is going to test the effects of exercise training along with usual care or
medications on health outcomes of patients with heart disease by comparing patients who
received only usual care. In the regards to importance of exercise and giving it with medical
treatment I can say that it can help older people with chronic heart disease in improving health
because physical exercise keeps healthy to people and also makes them feel pleased Kloda,
Boruff & Cavalcante, (2020).. So, it can be known that if exercise plays an important role in
treating and improving health of patients with heart failure and chronic heart disease or not.
3. Does combination of physical exercise with medical treatment can help older people with
chronic heart disease in improving health using with PICO framework
Patients/problem: Main problem which older people often face is chronic heart disease
and mental disorders as well. For knowing health outcomes of providing exercise along with
medications on older adults this study takes 2331 men and women in program of exercise or
physical activity.
