The nuclear family and Attachment Disturbance in the family
A family is the place where we all leave together and live under the one ruff. If we talk
about the Nuclear family then we can define Nuclear family as a system or the family structure
which is consisted of the two parents living with their children and it is also known as the
immediate family. The Nuclear family system is different from the extended family and in this
household can also include the non immediate family members such as the grandparents , aunt
and uncle. I am also living in a nuclear family and, in my family and I live with my mom,
sister and my day passed away. I belong to the India and there is different culture and feature
in the Indian nuclear family.
In a Indian nuclear familywe have to face different different attachment disturbance
which can affect our life. (Brown., 2019). In my family also there are some rule which we have
to follow like in Indian nuclear family most of the decisions are take by the adult or senior
citizen of the family and the other family also have to follow the things which they are told to

male take the division, and they do not let the female to take any decision for there family,

In a Indian nuclear familywe have to face different different attachment disturbance
which can affect our life. (Brown., 2019). In my family also there are some rule which we have
to follow like in Indian nuclear family most of the decisions are take by the adult or senior
citizen of the family and the other family also have to follow the things which they are told to
do by the senior citizen. Absence of my father in my family have big problem because many

by the other senior citizen in my family such as my gran father and in the Indian families
male take the division, and they do not let the female to take any decision for there family,
and according to me this is disturbing (Han., 2019). In Indian we celebrate every function
together and every member of the family join the function which can include uncle, aunt etc.
This is one of the best thing about it and In nuclear family also we calibrate every function with
each other will make the celebration more wonderful and enjoyable.
In a nuclear family we have to face the problems such as the separation. I was living
in India till the age of 8 and after that I went to the United Kingdom which was the separation
of my nuclear family, and i started living in a another country which was a big this because In
India we were so close to our other family members, so we were able to meet every member
in the family but after coming to the India it becomes very difficult for us to meet to the other
family members like my grand father, grand mother etc. In a UK I have experienced that the
culture in the India and UK are to much different from each other, and i was facing the
problem to adopt the culture of the UK (Lewis Jr and Yates., 2019). There some difference
such as in India we were not allowed to call elders by their name and Indians believe that it is
a disrespect if you are calling g them by their name , no matter what is your age and how
much you are earning we have to call our elders with the respect, and we cannot call them by
their name but In United Kingdom it is completely different, In this country people used to
call everyone by their name it doesn't matter how old or young they are allowed to call their
elders by their name. One difference I have seen that families in UK does not have any
problem with the cast and there is very less discrimination in the UK which was very good
thing about them they do not see the religion of the person, and they are nice with the every
person which was very good thing about them, and they do not believe in the cast system, and
they can also allow marrying to anyone it does not matter which cast they belong what is their
family back ground (McLoughlin.., 2018). If their child want to marry they will let you do
without any problem but In India there is too much discrimination which is disturbing for
many people, and they are judged on their realign and people cannot marry to the different cast
or realign and some of them are allowed then they can marry within the boundary of the
country not outside the country, and they believe in arrange marriages more than the Love
marriage. Parents do not allow their children to marry in the other cast or the other realign, and
they do not get any support if they want to marry in the other cast, and they will be out from
their family and society as well.

In and Indian family, I have experienced or feel that there is an huge gender
discrimination girls does not get their freedom or leadership. Social and people believe that the
girls are just to make food and cleaning, and they should not go outside and live their life as I
have give one example of my family as well , that most of the decision in my family are taken
by the male adults and females are not allowed to take any decision for their family, and they
just have to follow what they bare told to just like this families give more priority to the boys
as compare to the girls, and woman do not get proper education, and they are not allowed to go
out of their home and spend time with their family (Pilkauskasand Cross., 2018). I have seen
this type of many cases, But now am I watching that things of the families are changing and
government is also focusing to encourage families to educate their children, manly for the
girls there are many woman who come of the family problem and become something in the
society and girls are taking quality education in the schools and families are sending their
girls to the other places for their higher study which shows the changes in the families in the
nuclear families in the India but Still some of the families who are believed that the girls are
just to make food, and they should not take education. They only to do family work which is a
big problem for the families in the idea, and they need big change. Narrow minded Thinking
makes them believe that what they are doing is right and I have experienced this all negativity
in the society nearby me and Even in my family also thing was the biggest problem, and we
were not allowed to put my opinion because this is an disrespect for them if we will talk
anything wrong about the things which is problem in the society (Sukach and et.al., 2019). AS
per my opinion education can be the best option to overcome from the discrimination and this
ca change the thinking in the nuclear family. With a time should learn to accept the changes,
and we cannot make discrimination as the part of our culture, and we should change the
thinking and many people are changing their thinking as well in the nuclear families in India.
Things change when I came to the UK and I have seen that culture is totally different
and it is too difficult to adopt the culture of the nuclear family in the UK (Suleman and
McFarlane., 2016). some of the change I have seen like, I started taking light breakfast
mostly as the bread and conflict etc which was different as compare to the nuclear family in
the India. Communication was different and many things which was better in the UK and
some of the things like culture was totally better in the Indian families.

According to the (Sutherland., 2018) attachment plays a necessary roles in parenting,
especially attachment parenting, Attachment theory states that a strong emotional and physical
attachment to at least one primary caregiver is critical to personal development. I was not that
happy by the separation from the family because I get attached with my family in India and it
was very difficult for me to live them so easily (). I was attached with the family and other
friends who leave I the India. I went to the UK because of my future studies and if was the
decision or my own and my family does not stop me in this and they support me for the
studies and my mom send me to the United kingdom, so I can study hear and complete my
degree in the UK. It was very hard for me to live my mom and sister and other family relative
and live to far from them. They send me for the better future and now, I am living in the UK
with one of the family, and they are also nuclear family. But their traditions and their culture is
totally different from the Indian nuclear family. For example in the India Nuclear families
belong to the middle class family mostly, and they used to eat their food by sitting at the group
(Trowbridge and Zhu., 2017). They believe that it is good if we are eating food at the group,
these hows's the culture and also they believe it is good for the health if we are eating food on the
ground. This s totally different in the nuclear family in the UK because they eat food by sitting
on the dinning table which is the center table, and they also used the knife and spoons to eat the
food but in Indian families eat food with their hands. This shows the different culture and it
takes time for me to adopt this culture of the UK.
There are some similarities in the both India and UK nuclear families, In the both
culture they love each member pf the family equally and communicate nice with the
strangers . When I came to UK then this family help me, and they used to give food to me
and this is similar in the India, and they respect the other people ad if they which anyone is
hungry or anything then they will help them.
