ESSAY: ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT AND THE WILD LANDPOLICY
IntroductionThe environmental protection has risen to become one of the most widely discussed issues overthe last few years. While considerable harm to the natural sources is witnessed, certain steps aretaken to undermine such existing issues. Hence, it can be seen that land use managementsolutions are being developed. This essay focuses on the legislations and policies related to theland management in regards with protecting environment. Additionally, it focuses on the factthat how these persisting policies can contradict the needs and requirements of the population.Hence, suitable solutions for the same will be traced as well. DiscussionIn order to manage the usage of the land, there have been considerable steps taken in the recentyears. The most notable ones art h imposed restriction of the land usage in certain areas. Theannouncement of the Endangered Species Act and the Wild Land Policy are evident in ensuringthat the environment is being protected lawfully. The purpose of the Endangered Species Act is to look into the matter that both, the private aswell as the public lands are restricted from use when it inhabits a specific species which mayhave the possibility of getting extinct. In order to protect the extinction of rare species as such, these restrictions are announced. The consideration of the species is more in endangered speciesAct, regardless of the location (Beschta et al. 2013). On the other hand, the Wild Land Policyaddresses the conservation of the environment is enforced within the public land scope. Certainpublic land which have specific traits are protected with the enforcement of Wild Land Policy toprevent the excessive usage of the land that can deteriorate the resources (San Jose et al. 2017). While the need of preservation of land and wildlife is being recognized by increasing population,it cannot be denied that the enforcements of policies and legislations as such are often in conflictwith that of the needs of the humans. It cannot be denied that the growing population is leadingto more demand of the available resources. However, the imposition of such legislation mayaffect groups of people who may have grown up in habitats as such (Nagle, 2017). It can be seenthat the requirements of the human may have the tendency to overlap the statements of thementioned acts and policies.
