Health care sector plays an important role in society in which several famous persons canbe identified for putting their efforts for social welfare. They provide medicines and othermedical facilities of poor people who are not able to afford expensive treatment. However, thesepeople prefer internal satisfaction more than money which motivate them to provide support forpoor people in society with proper dedication in respect of solving desired problems (Tonniesand Loomis, 2017). The present essay will focus on life choices of 'Mother Teresa' which arebased on sociological, cultural, moral and human development theories to the context of healthcare delivery.Mother Teresa was known in the Roman Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta andshe was an Albanian- Indian Roman catholic nun as well as missionary. She was born on 26thAugust in 1910 in Üsküp, Kosovo Vilayet, Ottoman Empire which is presently Skopje, Republicof Macedonia. She get influence by stories of lives of missionaries and their service in Bengaland she convinced to commit herself for religious life. In addition to this, she founder ofMissionaries of Charity which has around 4500 sisters working in 133 countries for welfare ofpeople. They provide shelter to those people who were dying of HIV/AIDS, leprosy andtuberculosis.Sociological choices of mother Teresa involves her responsibilities toward society inorder reduce different types of problems in order to improve their standards if living. It alsoincludes the lifestyle including religion and family or wealth. However, she got fascinated bystories of lives of missionaries and their service in Bengal in her early years and she make herselfconvinced to commit with religious life. In addition to this, she get influenced by such storiesand motivate left home to join Sister of Loreto as she wants provide help to society throughproviding required products or services in proper manner. At the other hand, sociological factorsinvolves religious values and beliefs of an individual which encourage them to considerfavourable choices of their decision making (Blau, 2017). However, Mother Teresa is a veryeffective as well as efficient social entrepreneur as she explore ideas and found a charity torender support for dying people from severe diseases. Moreover, it involves her appropriateefforts towards society as she focused on people who are suffering from critical health problems,such as HIV/AIDS, leprosy & tuberculosis and not capable to afford medication. Meanwhile,Mother Teresa provides not only medicines to people but also render proper shelter fro dyingindividuals so that they will feel relieved along with providing proper healthcare services1

respectively. Finally, she had decided to work for poor and unhealthy people who are not able toget proper treatment or other facilities in their daily lives. At that time, there is no mucheffective technology or advanced health care services then people suffering from leprosy andHIV mostly not get proper treatment due to their weak financial condition. Furthermore, afterclosely analysing overall condition of people in Calcutta. She has decided to work of suchindividuals in terms of provide proper health care facilities to provide better lives to them alongwith facing criticism in society.Mother Teresa spend her life in to different cultures i.e. European culture in herchildhood and early adulthood and then she work in Indian culture. However, most influencing isthat she did not differentiated people belongs to different types of culture and only fulfil hermotive of providing care to needy people (Sigelman and Rider, 2014). She only follow singleculture including love for human life and follow humanity by providing help to poor people incontext of health care. In addition to this, Mother Teresa is against contraception and abortionbecause she believed that peace of lives get destroyed due to direct killing in form ofcontraception as well as abortion. However, her cultural needs to maintain better environment,culture of life and culture of love which facilitate to generate factors of humanity among them.Meanwhile, it will provide support to make people fell pain of poor and needy individuals so thatthey put efforts to remove their problems. Moreover, Mother Teresa follow culture of love forhuman lives which encourage her to provide medical facilities for poor people suffering fromtuberculosis, HIV and leprosy. She has profound understanding and radical loving out of truthabout inherited dignity of human beings in society. The moral attitude and values plays an important role in everyone's life as it providesupport to make ethically correct decision as well as choice in their lives (Habermas, 2018). Shehas several moral values such as humanity, honesty and mercy which facilitate her to renderserve poor people in through providing better health care services for their well being. However,as per her mission of life and moral norms, she want to minister to poorest of the poor due towhich she visit Calcutta as well as other poorest cities with specific motive to reduce problem ofpeople. In addition to this, she performs her tasks or providing medicinal, facilities to improvehealth of poor individuals along with providing other services which are needed in daily livesaccordingly.
