INTRODUCTION
Contemporary art refers to the art that is produced during the late 20th century and early
21st century. It is also referred to as Modern Art and has its own style and approach that
differentiates it from other forms of art. Contemporary art can include sculptures, paintings,
performance, video art as well as photography that is produced today. Contemporary art is
important because it is a form of expression that allows artists to represent their beliefs,
ideologies as well as perceptions in a pictorial form (Abse Gogarty, 2017). There are different
functions of contemporary art, but the most significant amongst them is the ability to provoke
deep thoughts among the artists in the real world. Contemporary artists often reflect on the
modern-day society for the people to understand their art. The respective essay includes an

Contemporary art has become one of the integral ways of expression among artists today
