INTRODUCTION

topic. Present essay is all about important points that are described in two articles.

In the Article 1, discussion is made on overpopulation along with its various problems. As
per Madaan, 2016, overpopulation is a position in which population of human is rising then the
carrying competence of specific biological setting. In this state, population numbers are more
than standard vital substances for survival, for example, social amenities, shelter and so forth. It
has been approximated that nearby 81 million humans adds towards earth’s population in an
annual year. Because of medical breakthroughs, immigration, reducing g mortality rates and
growth birth rates, population numbers will enhance as well as give rise to state of
overpopulation. The article also highlights about main problems or contributions for certain
compelling environmental problems that includes lessening of natural resources like wilderness
forests, coral reefs, fossil fuels and arable lands. Moreover, the other problem is accelerated
habitat loss encompassing wildlife, grasslands, aquatic life reforms as well as wetlands. It is also
described that global warming, amplified climate change, biodiversity losses, fresh water
depreciation, diminished life quality, intensive farming practices, emergence of epidemics and
increasing rate of violence, unemployment addition to crime rate are also some of problems of
overpopulation in the urban cities.
In Article 2, main discussion is done by World watch Institute about nine strategies for
stopping short of Billions (Worldwatch Institute. 2012). It is assumed by many analysts that the
population at world level will rise from 7 Billion to 9 Billion till 2050. At same time, it is also
forecasted that humanity will never reach such size of population, if sustainable prosperities are
to attain. It is also written that unsustainable growth of population is only addressed through
empowering women for becoming pregnant at the time when they takes the decision to do so.
The nine strategies which can put population of human towards environmental sustainable path
includes guarantee education to girls, giving universal access to suitable contraceptive options to
both female and male, eradicating biases on the bases of gender from legislation, heath, culture

together with economic opportunity. The other strategies are offering effective sexuality
education to all types of students, ending policies which gives financial reward to parents,
integrating chapters on environment, development addition to population within school and
university curricula, levying high prices on costs of environmental as well as impacts, making
adjustment of aging population nut not on boosting child bearing and convincing political leaders
for making commitment in order to stabilise growth of population via exercising human
development and rights.
CONCLUSION
The above essay concludes that there are large number of problems of overpopulation.
Various key series of steps together with initiatives are outlined that can guarantee reduction in
rates of birth in billion numbers.
