INTRODUCTION Innovation is mainly related with the generation and creation of new value by the way of implementing and leading out some new and creative ideas. Innovation thinking skills had become important and viable for success for all organisation as it leads to and ensures better quality and improved products and services. Present essay is based upon the understanding the nature of innovation and idea generation along with analysis of common factors that lead to success or failurewithin an organisation. MAIN BODY Discussion and critical evaluation of statement of Julia According to JuliaKylliäinen,2019 ideageneration isa process of creating and developing new and better ways along with communication and visualisation of new ideas which forms a base for innovation (Idea Generation,2019).The nature of innovation can be defined as an application of new and creative form of ideas that are generated by the critical and creative thinking of an individual with the aim of producing improved products or services or leading efficiency in an organisation. Regular innovation and generation of new ideas is important and highly needed by an organisation to have an enhanced competitive edge in a penetrating and target market to garb and avail bigger opportunities in business environment. From the view of Julia it has been evaluated that idea generation is a vital process associated with creating, developing and communication new abstracts and innovative ways of conducting business. Thus, innovation and generation of new ideas is mainly associated and focuses on coming up with feasible and all possible ways to overcome a problem and perceive an opportunity. According to Boston-Fleischhauer, (2016),all organisation are facing an issues and threat of high level of competitionprevails in the international market which comprises of large number of competitors dealing in same sector. Thus, generation of new ideas and regular innovation become most vital and important for this organisation to remain ahead of its competitors in order to maintain its success level and productivity. Generation of new ideas and innovation leads to production and creation of more exclusive and improved products and services. 1
According to Salehzadeh and et. al., (2017) there are various other factors also which lead to innovative success or failure within an organisation and impact its performance and success level which comprises of innovative thinking skills, communication skills and time management skills along with commercial and market awareness skills. In views of Masood and Egger, (2019), innovative thinking skill is very important and viable for success of an organisation as it leads to generate a new idea for innovation (The importanceofInnovationanditsCrucialRoleinGrowth,SurvivalandSuccessof Organizations, 2020). Further, implication of communication skills is also vital for an individual as it leads to reduction in chaos and conflicts at place of work to maintain better coordination and collaboration in employees. This, enhanced coordination and effective communication facilitates and support enhanced creativity and generation of better ideas. According to Lee and Farh, 2019, the concept of the idea management funnel is a process that provides mechanism to enable a company to have constant stream of ideas which can be effectively used by them to enhance there viability (Innovation funnel,2020).
