culture and these both had become major drivers of destination attractiveness and
competitiveness. The change in culture values are affecting to societies in both positive and
negative way. It is often difficult to distinguish the cause and effect relationship between society
and tourism. Culture and tourism is having a mutually beneficial relationship which makes
strengthen the attractiveness and competitiveness of destination places. The government of
country need to focus on the needs of foreign tourist also which will help them in generating
large amount of funds. As there are many rules and regulations which is framed by government
in order to protect the culture value of own country (Hudson, Wang and Gil, 2011). The culture
of people is also impacting on the tourism in change of their life. As cultural impacts on tourism
which impact on the customs, arts, infrastructure of country. Culture of Australian is different

cultural group are having both positive and negative impact. According to Kim, Uysal and Sirgy
(2013), it is depicted that there is continuously increasing in destination places which are
conducted in context of events. The change in event tourism can be used as a tool for raising the
awareness and providing the opportunities to local people in terms of job. These events are also
having an impact on host communities because sometimes they had to make change their
reflective norms according to tourists. Through this it has been suggested that impact of socio-
cultural is occurring in the result of unique interaction among tourists and destination area.
Cultural tourism is affecting to local people in terms of their values, religion, caste
because in negative and positive way. It is responsibility of tourism companies to boost visitors
in providing services according to their cultural (Lozano-Oyola and et. al., 2012). These must
include all such significant areas where they can promote the own cultural values and does not
required to change their reflective norms. In addition to this, they should analyse that whatever
services which are providing by them should be in ethical manner which increase the visitor’s
morale’s. Immigrants from Britain, New Zealand and Ireland are making a huge change in the
Australian culture.
There are number of criteria which is important for government to analyse them in
developing the positive relationship between culture and tourism. Some of them are; degree of
participation by local people in addition to tourists, independence of activities in foster the
clustering effects. Further, there are number of policies which indicates that main drivers for
developing culture and tourism in order to minimise their negative impact from country. For
example, it will enhance and preserve the heritage place, there will be economic development
and increase in employment opportunities, develop the understanding of cultural (Mason, 2015).
Moreover, it will also help in increasing number of foreign tourist without changing in own
values and norms. As it gives an opportunity to them to came to know about other culture values
and what religion they are following. As it will increase the cultural value of country only and
will become easy to attract visitors.
Tourism is bringing contribution in the improvement of social infrastructure facilities
also at destination places. This can be considered as positive impact on culture tourism. There
are many situations which is existing in country and in that tourism is active and having reason
behind them for the preservation and awareness of local culture. But negative impact is that it
leads in the falls in the standard living of local community (The Impact of Culture on Tourism,

2009). While increasing number of tourist it destroys the religion of country which are following
by local resident people. Further cultural clashes are also becoming major issue which is creating
economic inequality among local people and foreign tourists which shows that more investment
should be done in economy for minimising these kind of issues. But along with this, they need to
framed proper norms and regulations which defend cultural value of country by reducing number
of visitors. There are different kinds of customers who are making trip to different places so it
become responsibility of organisation as well as government to provide services according to
them. As it will also help them in maintain strong relation with them and improve the growth of
economy in tourism sector. Beside this, if any amended is require in tourism policy as racial
changes, then government needs to do modification for safeguarding the interest of local people.
Effect of change in culture on the host community (Australia)
Australia is emerging in the tourism sector different types of tourism like; echo-tourism,
cultural tourism etc. are growing faster in it. Tourism sector is also providing support in the
economic development. In the year of 2014/15 this sector has provided $47.5 Billion foreign

having huge change in past years which is impacting on their workings for foreigner’s tourists
(Buckley, 2012). Diversity is ruling on the culture and distinct types of species are involving in
Australia which are impacting on the deliverables for tourists. Different people are now living in
the UK. Some changes in culture are here which are having a huge effect on the host community;

working in the food industry has to make changes in their trends and workings according to
different immigrants. Food is a factor which is also consider in the culture of nation, in earlier

education according to the culture of their through which they came to know about their culture.
Further, the languages of people are different from each other because there are more than 200
countries who speaks different languages.
It also impacts on the Australian companies who provides services in tourism sector. For
example, whatever marketing strategies which are adopted by them in prompting or increasing
the brand awareness, then they should see that it does not harm the cultural values of any people.
In simple words, they can motivate tourist by adopting new technologies in order to attract
tourists (Scherrer and et. al., 2011). Along with this, through this they also came to know about
what are the culture values of other people and in which way they can advertise their ads

Apart from that government has to attract tourists by providing them different services
who are belonging from different cultures so that it will encourage them to pay more and visit in
country again and again. But these services should be provided in such a manner which gives
positive impact on country and helps in improving their economic condition (Cuccia and Rizzo,
2011). Further, there are several factors which is influencing host community attitudes towards
cultural tourism because these are impacting on wildlife tourism also and having ultimately
effect on sustainability.
It is impacting on society also in different ways such as in their living standard, provide
job opportunities, will get support from Australian government to increase their investment and
many more. So, it become major responsibility of organisation to serve services according to
people whose culture is different from each other and satisfy their needs in appropriate manner
(Jalilvand and Samiei, 2012). Besides this, it is also impacting on the values of local people
because visitors are coming there and destroying their morale values by adopting new
technologies.
Further, it is also impacting upon large companies who are providing packages to
customers in terms of adaption of tools and techniques. They have to use latest technology
through which entity can provide appropriate services to customers. Along with this, it will save
the time of resident and foreign people in booking online services (Csapo, 2012). Moreover,
music, dance, songs or ceremony is considered as core of cultural life. So, it is impacting on
culture of local people in negative manner. Apart from that the resources which are using by
organisation should be utilised in appropriate manner through they can protect the environment
