INTRODUCTION
Democracy can be defined as a procedure of governing ion which government in the
nation is elected by citizen of the country through mechanism of election. Since, it has been very
long years, man and women in the society had arguments related to the sustaining or
improvement in the democratic theory. In context of Eastern Europe, value of western liberal
democracy has been embraced in the political system of nation. Some people considered
democracy as to be imperfect form of government. The few authors consider democracy to be as
an indication of gender bias in democratic theory itself.
In context of present report, there is total disagreement with the democracy, as it leads to
the gender biases. In addition to this, other reason for disagreement with the democracy is that
since many years ago, democratization has failed to deliver equality. But up to a great extent I
am agreed with the statement of Susan that if democratic theory is to be sustained and improved ,
it is required to recognize differences is sometimes interminable. Report will consist of the
detailed discussion on the topic of democracy.

The fact about which the Susan is right and wrong
I Perceive that democratic theory as a matter of principle which is committed to ideals. I
believe that as faith, democracy is always a false or wrong faith. In other words, I mean to say
that Susan should not have too much faith on democracy, as it might give rise to the inequality in
the country. Some author believes that democratic theories leads to the undemocratic practices.
The author John Dunn, has argued that there are basically two types of democratic theories these
are dismally ideological and other is utopian. According to the author democracy is a bad
mechanism which is conducted for securing the measure of responsibility on behalf of governors.
The other type of democracy is utopian., which author considered to be as good , as in such types
of democracy all arrangements are made considering the interest of people in the society. As per
the author, it is harder to implement the utopian democracy (Hynd, 2018.). According to the
analysis of Dunn, scepticism about democracy is largely based on the situations in modern life.
Author has also analysed that it is the social or economic difference which give rise to inequality
(Ellison, 2018). The other author Dahl has shown agreement with the statement that formal
equality of citizens should not be undermined by economic as well as social inequalities. Author
also excepts that lack of economic power is the root cause of political inequality, but at the

same time, he also has argued that all these issues should not lead to the pessimistic conclusion
that democracy is the something that country could have. According to the view of Dahl,
democracy helps in eliminating the economic as well as social inequalities in the nation. In
addition to this, author has also stated that criterion in context of democratic procedure will
require high level of commitment from the side of people (Arnstad, 2018).
I agreed with the Susan that if democratic theory is to be sustained and improved, it is
required to recognize differences is sometimes interminable , as such tactics will support
government in changing the perception of people about democracy. In addition to this, it will
also assist government in demonstrating that they also have focus on accomplishing common
goals. According to the people in post-industrial; societies those who perceives that democracy is
not at all attainable. Those people think so as they believe that democracy has failed to cater their
needs and has restricted their freedom. However other authors argues that In context of modern
world, promises can not be fulfilled, therefore according to them democracy has become the best
method curbing the of excesses of rulers (Beckman, 2018).
I am totally disagreed as well as criticise the principle of inclusion in democratic theory.
Principle of inclusion states that who should count citizen in democratic state. There are
historical philosophers those who perceives that adults people residing in the state should be
come under the criterion. While other authors thinks that those who are qualified under the rule
might considered to be as a citizen. I am disagreed with the Principle of inclusion in democratic
theory as I believe that acceptance of categorical principle of inclusion will lead to the ignorance
of economic as well as social difference between people. I believe that equal treatment approach
to be included in democratic theory , as it will assist in promoting equality among people in the
nation. It also helps in eliminating the social as well as economic differences in the nation.
According to the opinion of Richard Norman, equality does not require elimination of
differences (Eschle, 2018. ).
Before drawing any conclusion about the democracy, I intend to explore the possibilities
in context of re- conceptualisation is possible. After analysing the democratic theory I found that
hypothesis tends to construe differences as obstacles in context of accomplishment of goal of
truly democratic state. The fact which has been discovered is that all people residing in the one
state might requires democracy. But is the democracy which intends to make all people equal in
the society. According to the opinion of Forster , it is the democracy which has ability to deliver

truth. The author Mill argues that changes or improvement in the democratic theory is possible.
Author also claims that difference as well as recognition of diffidence is ineradicable. According
to the Mill, differences should be preserve. He states that government in the nation need to have
focus on priority of differences over equality. After analysing the democratic theory I found that
in modern democratic society, concept of difference as well as connected concept of
disadvantage are male centred. I also perceive that there is great requirement of involving the
woman those who have domestic responsibilities. Some author criticises the folk theory of
democracy (Marker, Schmitt and Sirsch, 2018). It is the hypothesis which perceives that elected
representatives should translate their constituents’ preferences into public policy. There are few
authors who are completely against the democracy, as they perceive that people should rule
themselves. Such authors also thinks that direct democracy can not work, because most of the
people in the society lack the time and ability to understand the complexities of modern public
policy. I propose that does not only exclusively includes patience, impatience in the people can
create the major obstacles in implementation of improvement in democracy. I also argue that,
Susan implicitly reflectors on the feminism approach, the other elements of the democratic
theory has not be considered.
CONCLUSION
It is has been concluded that it has been social as well as economic differences which has
lead to the equality among people in the nation. The other fact which has been discovered during
the study is that the main purpose of democracy is to promote the equality in the nation. It has
been concluded that the democratic theory should be sustained and improved, but possibility of
such actions is still in doubt.
It has been suggested that while making the improvement in the democratic theory, the
differences in people should be considered. In addition to this, while implementing the
improvement in the existing democratic theory, gender biasses should also be considered.
