Introduction The essay will reflect different aspects on the issue of dog fouling that occurred on the KierHardie Recreation Park of UK. This problem can cause a huge consequence on the human healthand thus for reducing it, an effective campaign is undertaken. The paper will reflect my strengthsand weaknesses regarding the campaign and also the effect of the campaign on the local people. The Gibbs cycle helps in expressing my feelings and experiences during the whole procedureand also it helped me to make an action plan for the further development of the campaign. Moreover, I have developed my skill and knowledge in order to overcome the issue of dogfouling.Introduction of the campaign The campaign is executed at Kier Hardie Recreation Ground on the basis of Dog Fouling as itcauses huge impact on the health of people present in the park. Dog fouling is considered one ofthe biggest issue in the UK and it effects can enormously damage one of the five recreationalparks (Rock et al., 2016). Thus this campaign is chosen as it can reduce the adverse effect of dogfouling in the recreational park. Dog faecal matter not only damages the park premises but alsopollute the whole environment and campaign is vital so that every individual can be aware of theadverse effect of this issue. It is seen that in the Kier Hardie Recreation Park no containers existin the park for dog fouling. Apart from this, no proper cautionary signs are given in all the sixdoors for the dog owners to pick their dog faecal matter when they visited the ground for the nexttime. The dog fouling causes serious damage to human health as the parasitic bacteria present in it cancause blindness to many people (Pemberton, 2017). The study evaluates that single gram of dogfouling can cause stomach problem giving rise to diarrhea, intestinal disorders, kidney failuresand many more health issues. There are many children who every day comes to play in the parkand if they put their hand in the infected soil then it can cause a huge health hazard to them. There may be several diseases that can took place in children due to this and it therefore, becomes vital to bring some preventive measures in order to maintain healthy environmentthroughout the park. So the campaign is very important as to stop these health-related issues thatcan occur not only to the children but also to the adults too (McGarry et al., 2015). Thiscampaign helped the children parent’s to be careful about the causes and effects of dog fouling1|Page

and also the proper implementation of bins and warning signs will help the dog owners to reducethe issue of dog fouling. Furthermore, the campaign helped the people of the surrounding societyto be careful about the serious effect of dog fouling and along with this the environmentpollution will also decrease. Strengths of campaign The strength of the campaign is that it spread immense knowledge on the study of dog foulingthat causes a major health issue to the people living in the surrounding environment. The mainreason of the campaign is to reduce the health-related problem that has been arose due to the dogfouling in Kier Hardie Recreation Ground in Canning Town South Ward. Dog fouling is not onlyhostile and nasty and also smells bad when someone stepped on it and thus it not only causes aproblem to human health but also pollutes the environment. For this reason, the campaigneffectively helps in spreading the awareness to the people regarding the adverse effects of dogfouling issues. Along with this, the campaign also increases the implementation of bins andwarning signs in the park in order to enhance the effectiveness of healthy atmosphere throughoutthe park. For reducing the issue, we have established partnership with some foundation and trust like St.Luke's Community Centre, Kingdom- Environmental Protection, The Big Lottery Fund andmany other organizations and by their help, we are able to make our campaign successful (Loweet al., 2014). The campaign mainly targeted the local authority and local residents of thesurrounding environment so that we get more help from them for reducing this issue. It alsoreminds the duty and responsibility of the local authority towards their residents (Halsby et al.,2016). The campaign also ensures the local people for making the park clean and also help themto implement proper sings and bins in the park (Wright, 2018). Furthermore, a marketingstrategy has been implemented and for this proper staff has been recruited. The staff appointedhas their individual duty and they distribute leaflets and flyers to the local residents around theKier Recreation Ground (Fok, 2018). A meeting has been done with the local residents beforethe campaign where volunteers are appointed and also advertisement on local newspaper andsocial media are given that helps the people to know about the issues related to dog fouling. 2|Page
