INTRODUCTION Drug testing needs to be mandatory practices at music festival by tax payers because it is the only ethical way to reduce drug consumption. The arguments of essay will be supported by principles of health care ethics. MAIN BODY Drug analysis at music festivals is a moral obligation which can assist in reducing risk of harm to festies. It is a human approach where focus will on be creating awareness among users about the content of drugs. Testing of drugs is a moral practice supported by health care ethics in which festival goers will have check on their drug content. The knowledge over substance use and harmful content can be beneficial in changing consumption practice of individuals. Pill testing booths at music festivals are an opportunity for controlling substance use because it is about informed decision where users will be exposed to side-effects of recreational drugs (Thomas, 2018).Pill testing is a technical analysis which helped in deriving recent use of particular substance. It is not a harmful practice because its focus on creating awareness in order to encourage people to quit illicit habit of consuming harmful substance in positive way. Thus, drug testing analysis is related to body because it is ofbiological specimen of blood, sweat, breath, etc. to determined presence of substance in body. The technical analysis is concerned with ethics because it is directly relating to consent of individual client which is part of human rights. As per success of pill testing trial by government of Australia at Groovin the moo Music fest in Canberra, it can be stated that testing can be helpful in reducing farms to Festies. In accordance withHaggan, 2019,it can be articulated that number of deaths have ben increased in recent years du to toxic quality of pills. In accordance with Non maleficence health care ethics it can be argued that drug testing at music festivals needs to illegal because it aims at inflicting minimum harms to individual. According to Willis, 2019, it is claimed that testing of pills at festivals leads to mora substance abuse because the awareness motivates people to seek for safer way to consume pill which can be life which can be life threatening as well. Moreover, pill testing creates false sense of safety and security among individuals. 1
Palamar and et.al., 2018,discussed about Non maleficence ethical principal of health care with regard to drug testing from where it can be articulated that obligation is to prevent and not to impose harm. Medical care suggests that substance abuse to individual client happens when the provider and user is not aware about the substance and its content. The ethical principal also stated about humiliation and obligation which is an inappropriate practice of making people change their habits and therefore pill testing at music festivals will be supportive practice of creating awareness among users about the harmfulness of content.Apparently, it can be said that health care ethical principle of Non-Maleficence is based on no harm to individual client which supports drug testing at must festivals because, it is the place where there is different type of people from different demographic characteristic consuming pill regardless of its health impact. Drug testing supports No harm principle where focus will be on making thousands of people aware about the content of pills. As per Non-Maleficence drug testing is not for humiliation and therefore is ethical practice of encouraging learning of people over substance use. On the other hand, drug testing at music festival can be argued with Respect of Autonomy health care ethics according to which it is essential of the individual consuming substance to have full information about the practices they are involved in it (Groves, 2018). The principles support individual power of decision on the basis of right and wrong of the situation. Thus, it can be said that drug testing at musical festivals by tax payers can be an effective intervention to control harmful practices and managing substance use.Drug testing at music festivals is for minimizing harm by giving people right to make decision on the basis of knowledge over the content of substance. The ethical principle support drug testing intervention at music festivals because in this no person is forced to quit or tolerate mandatory legal action but is about individual will to consume content. CONCLUSION The discussion concluded that drug testing at music festivals needs to be a mandatory practice with reference to principles of health care which states about knowledge and awareness of people over use of pills. 2
