Essay On Study Skills for Higher Education_1

Success depends on how a person tries in his life, how goal-oriented the person is, how
disciplined the person is. Everyone wants to be successful in his life. In student life, being
successful means making a good result. And in the workplace, being successful means having a
good job and being promoted in the workplace. But being successful is not an easy task.
Everybody has to work for that (Wardani, 2020). But only making good results cannot help to be
successful in life. To be successful, everyone needs to have a good job. To find a good job, a CV
is a mandatory thing. CV helps to be judged in a good way by the employers. So, to make a good
CV everyone needs to be skilled and experienced.
If a student wants to be succeeded, then he has to make a good result. There are so many
competitors everywhere. So, to compete with others, everyone needs to be different and
exceptional. Some skills are needed in a student as well as in an employee (Suzik, 2020). These
skills are necessary to be successful in the university and in the workplace too. These skills are
given below:
Time management: Time management is the first and foremost skill that is needed. Time
management helps a person to be efficient and effective. This one is helpful not only for the
students but also for the employees also. If anyone has no time management skills, he cannot
complete his task by the deadline. It is known by everyone that time and tide wait for none. Once
the time is gone it cannot be regained. So, students should use their time properly. If they can
properly use their time, they can make their syllabus completed before the examination.
Likewise, an employee has to manage his time properly to be efficient and effective. It will help
him to do his tasks within the timeline (Schultz, 2019). Time management means a kind of
planning how to use time properly
Stress management: Stress management means the system of managing the nerve. Stress
management helps a student to control his fear all the time. Before the exam, students have a
huge syllabus. This towards the students under stress. Stress can lead a student to failure. By
managing stress, students can make themselves more capable of doing work. Likewise,
employees also have to manage their stress in the workplace. This is mainly needed in the
workplace. Because, employees have a lot of pressure on their work (Peck, 2018). So, if they
cannot manage their stress, then they will be successful.

Setting goal: If there is no goal, there is no destiny. Everybody has to run after a goal. It is
known that a person without a goal is like a boat without a rudder. There is no alternative to set a
goal. Before the exam, students have a lot of pressure because they have to go through a kong
syllabus. So, if they set a goal like completing the syllabus of a course within a week or two, then
definitely he will go for it (McConalogue, 2016). This goal can foster him to succeed. Along
with this, in the private sector, employees are asked to do a lot of things. So, they also have to set
goals to accomplish their tasks.
Being focused: Being focused means attached to the goal. If there is no goal, there is no success.
So, every student has to set a goal to be succeeded. As, students want to make a good result in
the examination, so they have to set some goals. And they also have to be focused on their goals.
On the off chance that they have a two-month appraisal, for instance, they can set up day by day,
week by week, or month to month targets. They can set up objectives for themselves, like
finishing the schedule for one course in about fourteen days (LEIGH, 2014). This is an objective.
Understudies can without much of a stretch total their course if they set this point. Accordingly,
it tends to be guaranteed that understudies should be centered around their objective to be
effective. Along with this, employees have to be focused also on their work. It will help them to
avoid everything and be effective and efficient with their work.
Avoiding risky behavior: Risk means uncertainty. If there is more risk, there are more chances
to be failed. But there is that much profit also. But it is only applicable for the business. But
students should not take any kind of risks. Students should not put their studies before the exam.
It means they are taking risks. It will lead them to uncertainty. If they put their study for the
exam, they will suffer. Maybe they can not be able to complete the syllabus before the exam
which can lead to them unable to make a good result. As well as employees should not take any
risky steps (Lachman, 2020). If they do so, they may fail in the workplace. So, avoiding risky
behavior is a good skill to be successful.
Research: Research denotes the study about a topic to find something new. Research helps a
student to be able to know more and more rather than any other student. In school, college, and
university lecturers are not able to provide all information about the courses. Along with this,
maybe a student can miss the class lecture or he may not be able to understand his teacher
