1ESSAY ON TEAM WORK
During my college days I was a student of Human factors and Ergonomics courses in La
Trobe university of Melbourne. I was pursuing the graduate certificate course. There we had to
do our laboratory works as a team as the course was related to the interaction of machines with
the human. In addition, this course, we were also taught about the workplace safety and
ergonomically designed machines. During that course, we often visited various factories such as
chemical plants, food factories, steel plants as a team and it was as a part our laboratory works.
We often checked the safety condition of the workers in the work places and then the report was
sent to our teacher. I think the interpersonal bonding and capacity of adjusting with various
situations are the key factor of team work. However, during those days, we faced various
problems when we worked as a team. Although those were part of our work. Sometimes, we
were confused to take decisions while designing a particular work place. I remembered during
the safety planning of a chemical plant we failed to unite on a particular decision. After that, we
talked again with the authorities and then we changed our planning and different safety plan was
executed in that factory. In order to perform better as a team, we should more concentrate on
increasing our team bonding and we should increase our patience in order to avoid conflict
among ourselves.
