Supposing the Manager have been working on the Maslow Need of hierarchy which
stated as “A Theory of Human Motivation” by Abraham Maslow. The base of this pyramidal
structure of need starts with Physiological. The aim of the manager is to secure all the elements
involved in base of the pyramid, the visitors of hotels are expecting to have a comfort of first

Security is the second step into the pyramidal structure of 5 elements maslow need of
hierarchy and it includes employment, safety, assets Wayne Bartholomew should have provided
to their staff and its employees with a hefty amount remuneration to bind such a delightful force
to keep them together as they have been working together since its inauguration, only two of the

turnover high. The job satisfaction of its employees can be corroborated with the instance of
staff connection, and with the views of over 2.3 million which are tuned in for the first episode.
The third step is Social which includes Family, friendship, intimacy, belonging. It is
similarly important as the other which depicts that human behaviour is lead by the admixture of
emotions which is not much more important as compared to self-actualization. They derive the
conduct of human being and energise the human beings and their existence (Grilli and Notaro,
2019).
Self worth, accomplishment and confidence are categorised into esteem which give sense
of essence of being worthy and capable of performing things in such a way that It would enhance
the good vibes into the life of another. Wayne Bartholomew must have used the Esteem card to
drives a man to steer the the energies of their visitors.
Self actualization is defined by Maslow as Growth need because it enables a person to

cameras over six weeks at Damson Dene hotel. In this various issues related to plumbing
disasters, kitchen problems has been seen and on the other hand language difficulties were faced
by Polish speaking staff (Salmon, Stanton and Jenkins, 2017). People management skills are
defined as soft skills which are helpful for the management in taking out best possible results.
There are some issues which are faced by personnel within hotel and these problems are
hampering organisational performance and efficacy in negative manner. For dealing with these
problems manager of Dasmson Dene hotel Wayne is willing to enhance people management
skills so that they can coordinate with their team members and execute their roles in prominent
manner. There are some team-working theories which can be used in order to enhance people
management skills which are elaborated as under:
Tuckman's teamwork theory
This theory describes working team on the basis of psychology aspect and for which
degree of conflicts and misbehaviour has been studied. There are four stages in this approach in
which groups are made and group activities are performed as well. In the context of Dasmson
Dene hotel as they are facing huge issues in managing kitchen and plumbing which is due to lack
of soft skills or people management skills. So as to think over these issues and improving the
same four stages of Tuckman theory is elaborated as under:
Forming: Under this stage team is being developed for a particular task or operation. In

can be shown. In hospitality industry as daily task are obtained and for that teams are divided so
that this is imperative that proficiency can be attained (Salas, Reyes and McDaniel, 2018).

is combined in order to performance of complex task in appropriate manner. In the reference of
Dasmson Dene hotel this step is helping the organisation to sustain effective team building and
enhance people management skills.
Belbin's theory
According to belbin a team role as “ Wayne Bartholomew must have categorised work
according to their physical attributes to divide the work to them, as the role of receptionist is to
be performed by the most beautiful girl to greet the guest with the smiles, while the strongest to
be used to collecting the luggage and delivering it to the trolley. And developing the new
common tendencies by setting up camp and other related suitable options which will enhance
their skills to be substitutes of each other at the times of needs. The belbin theory was needful to
Wayne Bartholomew as it encourage him to manipulate the feeling which could be associated
with voice of respective person (Natvig and Stark, 2016) .
The three action roles which are associated with the theory are- Sharper, Implementer and
completer finisher. The various actions are distributed among person such as picking up farm
vegetable of kitchen preparation, broom sweeping, cleaning up pool, marking the edges of
garden, creating camp for kids for the ground roles. These task were divided by the capabilities
of strength, capabilities and interest. Wayne Bartholomew must have distributed the work to the

sharpens as the person who are trained and complete the work fastly, and the beginner works are
distributed to the person who need to develop the belonging among each other.
Implementers are those which further complete the residue work done by the sharers, and
complete the work within the time assigned to them. Finishers are those who would further
garnish or give a final touch to the finished product.
Wayne Bartholomew must have divided he teams into Coordinator, team worker and
resource investigator. Coordinator would be beneficial as it will be having keep on check on the
activities taking place into the team, which could be easily noted in case of deviation from the
work, coordinators would be responsible for communication among team players so that check
and balance can be maintained to, fast action task force could be ready for the actions. Resource
investigators can spot the new dimension of needs prevailing into the current scenario. The
cerebral roles helps in growing up new works to enhance the productivity or to derive new
possibilities which will enhance the satisfaction to its visitors, they more of like imaginative, its
much more dedicated towards the managerial role, orthodox who motivates for inventions and
overall improvement of quality, the research could be taken to adopt the new products available.
Monitor evaluators should be assigned roles with making up strategies to improve or make in
more visible or impressive towards its viewers. Specialist are those who are self centred, single
minded (Siregar, Pane and Ruman, 2018). The blend of these qualities make the work easy into
hotel and it is much more visible as an coordinated action rather that immature movements of
workers into the premises. The hotel staff feels more connected when they perform the decided
actions when they meet up whilst crossing each other, like tapping each other and sharing lunch
times, to enhance the overall performance in the working system of the premises.
CONCLUSION
From the above report this can be concluded that managerial theories and leadership
styles are playing vital role in managing people in an organisation and specifically hospitality
industry. General manager of the organisation is having role to deal with organisational
complexities and enhancing performance of their individuals. On the other hand team
management theories are assisting the manager to make prominent relationship with their team
and use their abilities to attain business aims and objectives. For improving people management
skills team building theories can be used so that collaborative working can be inhaled and overall
