INTRODUCTION Communication is defined as the exchange of ideas and thoughts form one person to another. In the corporate world the communication is very important and crucial because without communication no work can be done in the company. MAIN BODY For the success of the company it is very essential for the company to have clear and understandablecommunication(McNair, 2017). ThisI learned from an experiencewhile working in a company as a customer relationship manager. The incident started as the consumer was not satisfied with the product of the company as the material of the product was not good and the consumer shared this problem with the help of a mail to the CRM department of the company. This mail was read by me and my assistant both but with some mistake I misinterpreted that the consumer is unsatisfied with the quantity of product instead of quality of product. On the basis of my interpretation I passed the message to the operation department of company to look at measures of increasing the quantity of product with same cost. As a result of this miscommunication the operation department took measures to increase the quantity by using some quality of raw materials. This increased the cost for the company as now the company has to again manufacture the goods with another set of raw material. Also, this resulted in the decrease in the quality of the goods and this was not liked by the consumers and this also resulted in decrease in the number of consumers for the company. Now as a result of this the company failed in its operations and the cost also increased, and they also lost some of the consumers. This only just happened because of a little confusion which was created by me because of a miscommunication with the consumers. Now I had to rectify this mistake and for this now again some good quality of raw materials will be purchased and that will be used in the process of production. This will increase the cost for the company as again they have to start the production process with new raw material (Fulk and Connie Yuan, 2017). But this cost will be again recovered when the consumer will start liking the new quality product. With this incident I learnt the importance of communication and form that incident I decided to clearly communicate the message so that it does not have similar words or same meaning words.
For improving my communication skill, I communicate with customer because communication skills are necessary to understand customer information quickly.I will try to become a good listener so that as a Good listener I use the techniques of clarification to confirm what the customer said any avoiding any confusion. I will always listen his think in carefully that what actually customer want to say with me then I am giving my response back with eye contact while I am saying, no manner public is here or not. For good impression I will use strong vocabulary. My attitude and body language will put good impression on the customer and working as a pitch. I always use appropriate volume any talking politely with the customer. I will give positive response because positive feedback motivates the customer for purchasing our product I can't use negative response otherwise it emphasizes my attitude angle. By good communication I establish good human relation with our employee so that customer buys my product again and again. Communication is essential part of life it helps in exchanging various information, view, ideas and feeling between people. As per my opinion it is most crucial skill that is required to be present in each and every individual for growth and success in life. It not only benefit in personal life but also helps in professional life or in career, so I by continuous evaluating and taking review from person to whom I communicate able to improve and develop some skills of communication. I need to improve communication style by clearly explaining about specific topic, continuous communication with other people in order to exchange information. PART B Communication plays significant role in the success of business unit. Each company wants to hire people that have great coordination capabilities and are able to manage work in the firmsignificantly.Ihaverealizedthatcommunicationhasgreatimpactoverindividual performance. If person is able to improve their interaction capabilities, then it aids in minimizing confusion and individual become able to perform task in significant manner. If the person is unable to discuss their issues with seniors or other team members then it affects their working performance to great extent. I got to know that communication has high influence over behavior of person as well. Good communication is helpful in understanding task well and managing that work properly but if there is lack of interaction among people then this turns into big conflicts which sometime irritate person hence individual become negative towards the workplace. I got to know that if I have good communication capabilities then I would be able to manage my work on time and this will raise my productivity as well. CONCLUSION A leader and manager must have good communication skill, as they have to interact with other team members and have to make them positive, if they are unable to do the same then enterprise will not provide them appraisals and other benefits.
