Punishment is an act of inflicting a consequence on individual due to their wrong full
activities and unethical work (Robson, 2010). In the following essay, the detail has been given on
the favour of punishment in contemporary society through which crime among the society can
easily manage.

In every country, there are some of crime occurred by the people. While any individual
engage with any wrongful activities and crime then they are supposed to bear some punishment.
In every country, government have developed some regulation and legislation according to
which person are obligated to bear some punishment. Punishment is an essential part of the
human society ever since the starting of the civilisation. While any individual engage with any
wrongful act then they affects not only that particular person but also it will effect society
(Dubbink and Smith 2011). These wrongfulness act is also known as the crimes. In the present
time there are various crimes has been seen in the society like rape, murder, arson, genocide etc
that puts humanity into sham and the community into disarray. In order to overcome this kind of
wrongful act and crime in the society, strict punishment is very necessary for the country. In the
different country, government has developed different acts and legislation the punishment. There
are certain principles and policies which has developed by the government for the prison in the
society (Asaro, 2011). Citizenship is one of the important principle in the punishment concept
under which in terms of imprisonment, the consequences of punishment for crime should not be
so serve or so enduring as to violate as member of society. Another principle is related to the
social justice under which prison should be equipment of justice. Their contribution should be
promote ad it should not be undermine (Damodaran, 2016).
Capital punishment is really very essential for the society to control the unethical things,
violence and crime by the people because crime ratio has been increased day by day. The people
feels unsafe, even they are being in their own home. The capital punishment is that which
imposed by the court of law to that criminal who has done some crime like murder. The judicial
corporate punishment refers to the punishment which imposed by the court of law. It is very
essential to overcome the crime in the society (Gibson, 2011). Once a criminal has got
punishment according to the crime then that particular one can not again engage with such

activities. Hence, it can be said that in order to manage the crime in the society, punishment is
really very important in the society. In the nation, punishment is important to make effective
society and country where all people can able to live with happiness and freedom. Their fear
level can overcome by the practices and policies of the government related to the punishment.
Conclusion
From this essay it has been concluded that in order to overcome the crime from the
society and provide protection so as every one can feel safe at their home, punishment is very
significant role played. If government does not punish to someone then it can encourage to crime
in the society. Thus, from this essay it has analysed that punishment is really very necessary for
society.

done any crime but they are penalised by the government because of the cheating by against
parties. In the following essay, the argument against the punishment by the law has been
systematically addressed.

Crimes are increasing at rapid pace across the nations. In order to prevent these crimes
punishments are given to the relevant people. There are positive and negative sides of the crime
punishment for the people. It can be observed that in many nations of the world brutal
punishments are given to the criminals which can not be considered good. This is because
whatever punishment is given to the criminals must be in accordance to crime the do. If
punishment is given which is more than they deserve then it can not be considered good. There
are some nations like Arab countries that are giving very brutal punishments to the criminals. All
these things put negative impact on the people. One of them is that people frightened from
government. Mentioned entity must support people and must ensure that justice is done with all
people whether they are criminal (XIAO, ZHANG and ZENG, 2010). If government will not
treat people in proper manner then in that case situation can not be better in the nation. To many
people prison is given for the crime they performed and this can not be assumed good. This is

because it is observed that when any person is sent to prison likelihood of elevation in criminal
behaviour get increased. It can be said that those who prison end after exiting from prison again
get involved in crime cases (Buell, 2016). Thus, society does not gain any benefit. There is need
to make classification on situation under which specific sort of person must be send in prison and
some must be send to centres where they must be motivated for good behaviour and leaving
normal life. In order to make effective nation, government should consider on that practices by
which different punishment should give to the different criminal.
Conclusion
From this essay it has been analysed that punishment is very fear full thing for the society
as people afraid to get punished by the government. It has been concluded that government
should consider those factor through which decision can take in fair manner. The innocence
person should not be penalised or punished by the law. Further, punishment should have given
according to crime.
