INTRODUCTION
Cultural attractions are some of the attractive places around the world that attracts
individuals to visit specific city or country. There are various types of them that includes
archaeological and architectural treasures, festivals, events, heritage or historical sites,
landmarks, monuments, museums, religious venues, mosques and temples (Campaniello and
Richiardi, 2018). All of them attract large number of tourists for the places where these are the
main attractions. Present essay is focused with understanding of role of cultural attractions and
museums for tourists.

Cultural attraction allow individuals to experience the intellectual and physical creations.
If a city or country is having end number of attractions then it will result in enhanced tourism
because due to this it will be one of the most popular tourist attractions. When the large number
of individuals will visit a country then it will result in increased tourism in it. There are various
types of cultural attractions which are currently attracting tourists for nations. These are national
parks, temples, mosques, wildlife sanctuaries, religious venues, festivals, historical sites,
monuments, culinary activities, architectural treasures, landmarks, museums etc.
A location which is very famous in the world will have large number of tourists and also
a place with high tourism. All the cultural attractions and museums play vital role in attracting
large number of tourists because they inspire the individuals to visit the city where they are
situated. Museums facilitate dynamic network on travel attractions and visitor services to the
heritage tourism industry. A place that help individuals to get insight of different cultures attracts
them to visit it. There are various types of tourists these are Business, The Eco, Event,
Adventure, Leisure, Religious, Medical, Food etc. All of them visit different places around the
world according to their choices and requirements. Main purpose of a tourist attraction is to grab
attention of visitors so that they can come to certain places and increase tourism for the same
location (Gustafsson and Ijla, 2017).
There are various types of cultural attractions that are made for different purposes such as
facilitating individuals to understand the culture of the city or country, inspiring tourists to visit a
new location etc. Museums are some of the places that are mainly visited by such tourists who

are attached to heritage. If a city will have various museums then it will be able to attract large
number of tourists who will get attracted towards the location. Cultural attractions also motivate
tourists to perform different activities. These are trekking, wildlife night spotting, cycling, bird
watching, kayaking, traditional music performance, tour to the biodiversity hotspots, amphibians,
reptile and insect spotting. All these activities could be performed by the individuals while
visiting the new city or country. By visiting the cultural attractions the tourists will be able to
experience new places and enhance their knowledge about different types of cultures. It is very
beneficial for such tourists who are visiting the country for study purpose or interested in
experiencing a new culture (Richards, 2016).
Cultural attractions play essential role for tourists as it attracts them to go in a new
country and experience the beauty and culture of it. Apart from this, all the individuals who visit
a new city for visiting such places which can help them to learn about a new culture. All the
historical places that can provide them information about the history of country are visited by
them. It is not compulsory that only international tourists visit a new city domestic tourists also
visit the famous places of their country so that they can experience national pride and rediscover
the achievement of the ancestors.
Events and cultural attractions are some of the specific and strong magnets for tourism.
Tourists whether they are domestic or international take interest in all the events that are historic
in nature and conducted on yearly basis. These events can help the tourists to take part in them
and get aware of different types of cultures that are followed within the country. When the
tourists will be visiting a new country or city they try to get information of all the sites that can
help them to get insight to the culture of that specific place. There are various young tourists who
are visiting the new cities for the purpose of getting information of different types of cultures that
are followed within the country (Sandis, 2016). Students are mainly the tourists who visit
cultural attractions as well as museums for developing their knowledge and improving their
academics.
There are various types of schools and colleges which are conducting the national as well
as international historic tours for the students so that they can get aware of their own culture and
other country's culture. Museums are the main places that are focused by the educational
institutes where they can take the students to make them aware about the ancient period.
Museums not only provide information of history but also facilitate individuals to get aware of

different aspects. There are various types of museums such as general, technology, natural
history and science, history, art etc. The tourists who are interested in history visit historical
museums. Apart from this, the students of science and technology visit such museums that are
related to their study or interest area.
If the tourists will not have any type of information about the cultural attractions as well
as the museums then it will be very difficult for them to visit the place properly where they are
travelling. All around the world there are various types of famous museums such as Louvre,
National Museum of China, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Vatican Museum etc. The number
of visitors for all of them is very high as they get aware of them from different types of social
media. Museums are mainly considered as the educational institutions that make them public
institutions that are focused with preservation of culture of the educational work (ShawHong,
2020). All of them represent the major public and social investment by the modern communities.
For all the tourists museums play major role in engaging and educating them about the culture,
science, art or technology. These are focused with exhibiting and inspiring the interest in the
specific area on which the idea or the these of them are based. Educational institutes such as
schools relay mainly on museums as they take the students to museums for increasing their
curriculum. It shows that the young tourists like students relay heavily on such cultural
attractions as it enhances their knowledge and information about science, art, history, technology
etc.
For tourists museums are some of the places which can help them to get aware of the
culture which is preserved from a long period. With the help of them the tourists will be able to
understand the culture whether they are having different backgrounds or not. The main idea of
establishing museums was to enhance interest of tourists and create the public interest in culture
as well as others aspects like art, science etc. By visiting museums the individuals will be able to
acquire, research, exhibit, interpret and preserve the intangible and tangible evidence of the
community as well as the nature (Sheikh, 2019).
Most of the tourists who visit a new country are concerned with the fees which is
required to be paid by them to visit a culture attraction or museum. There are various museums
where they can enter for free and experience the local culture. Apart from this, most of the
museums are offering free entry on occasional basis or they charge very cheap amount for the
tickets so that they can enhance tourism within the country. Additionally, some of them are also

offer a pay what you can opportunity which encourages the people to visit and make the museum
more accessible. In order to increase the engagement level of tourists or engaging such tourists
who see museums as boring place different interesting activities are conducted in the museums
(Tsinopoulou, 2017).
CONCLUSION
From the above project report, it has been concluded that museums and other cultural
attractions are some of the key tourism generating factors for different countries. All of them
play major role for tourists because they help them to get insight into the culture of the place
which is visited by them. Different types of cultural attractions attract tourists such as museums,
art galleries, zoos, infrastructure, theme parks etc. All of them facilitate the national as well as
international tourists to enhance their knowledge about the place where they are living or
visiting. Apart from this, different types of museums that are based on themes such as art,
science, technology etc. also play main role in facilitating tourists to experience various types of
culture who belong to different background.
