INTRODUCTION
Environment refers to each in everything or condition of surroundings in which a person animal
or plant survive (Cordwell, 2020). A good and safe environment is very essential for each and
every individual to live their life effectively. Enabling environment refers to the situation in
which risks are to be minimized as well as managed in such a manner that each in every person
feel protected specially children. It is essential for children to provide them harmless as well as
abuse free environment to live their life freely and creating a welcoming warm and nurturing
environment for them. This is all about the enabling environment which provides children a safe
environment. Adults or practitioners plays a very vital role in creating enabling environment for
children. This essay also contains the introduction of those adults for practitioners with their role
in creating enabling environment.

In the foundation stages the environment has been defined in three aspects that our
outdoor environment emotional environment as well as indoor environment (Sidel, 2020). All the
three types of environment are very essential for an individual to sustain and effects their
productivity in their real life. Environment refers to the process through which all the three
aspects of environment are modified in such a manner that they provide better environment for
play and learning at foundation stages of an individual that is childhood stop enabling
environment is created with the help of creating warm welcoming and nurturing environment
which has a sense of belongingness. This type of environment helps children to feel belonged to
the environment and grow as well as learn quicker. Enabling environment can also be created
with the help of various types of resources that are live by children and babies or something that
is new for them and they can get interest and. This will create a new interest and small babies
and create a learning environment during their plays.
There are several ways to create an enabling environment for children such as providing
them room for outdoor as well as indoor games because a sufficient space provided to children
will help them to move freely in environment and explore new things by taking risk in this
games. Playing games is very essential for children and can help them to learn several things

such as imagination inspiration exploration of personal relations feelings moving activities
physical activities and many more (Girardeau, Oberholzer, and Pattanayak, 2021). Children
should engage in activities which inspire them to do something new and understand the value of
their personal relationships and their feelings. This also involve where did are continuously
solving their problems at their own. They should also be involved in toys as well as books so that
this story telling times will enhance their imagination power which is very essential to enhanced
at foundation stages.
Adults played a very important role in creating an enabling environment for children as
children live in the environment which are given by their parents or other elders which are
connected with them in some manner. It is duty of adults to provide them various resources
which make their babies as well as children familiar of several activities which are essential for
their childhood to learn and makes them familiar with the environment (Houngbonon, Rossotto,
and Strusani, 2021). It is the role of adults or practitioners that each and every child should feel
welcomed and valued at their places which is one of the importance of enabling environment. A
child development is completely depend on the environment they are sustaining and it is
essential to ensure that the adults or practitioner's which are connected with the children are
providing them warm as well as supportive relationships. Children should be involved in various
activities which are good for their height as well as health so that they can achieve a good growth
in timely manner. Adults should also engage children to build their emotional, resilience and
social skills which will help them to achieve a good growth in future.
Enabling environment is completely depend to provide a safe and secure environment to
the children which is the responsibility of adult which are connected to the children's. Creating a
safe as well as a secure environment for their children is the major role which has been played by
adults or practitioners for creating enabling environment for them (Kabir, Knierim, and
Chowdhury, 2021). There are various activities required to be involved to create such a great
environment for small babies which should be considered by adults or practitioners. Adults are
responsible to ensure that the small babies and children are free from any negative activities and
are not involve in any such kind of activities which can influence their learning capacity. They
should ensure that children are getting proper education which can enhance their skills as well as

knowledge for their future development as education is very essential for creating and enabling
environment for them.
For just born babies or very small babies who are not able to go to schools are also
provided some kind of education such as speaking learning moving and many more. There are
several activities which are considered is very precious and adults should consider it with
minorities so that they can be learnt to babies in such a manner that they can and expertise in that
(Kaoma, and Gheewala, 2021). Taking an example of storytelling if children have a habit of
listening stories from their foundation stages they will develop a good imagination skills and will
also get inspired from some of the characters from the story. It is the duty of adults to present
their stories in front of children in such a manner that they will inspire with good people and not
from bad. This inspiration at early stages are responsible for their future as it defines the nature
of a children in in different manners. Each and every activity related to the childhood of an
individual have their own importance in their adulthood hence, adults or practitioner should
understand the value of this early learning and create an enabling environment for the children.
Among the discussed three aspects of environment the child care professionals should not
only consider physical and environment that is indoor or outdoor but also consider the emotional
and comment to create an enabling environment (Lassou, Hopper, and Soobaroyen, 2021). It has
also been observed that an untidy and clustered environment is not good for children and should
have a high quality environment for young children to provide them enabling environment. An
environment in the surrounding of young children should be clean tidy and uncluttered so that
they can have a proper safety from several diseases in the environment. Adults or practitioner's
dealing or creating enabling environment for young children should be flexible enough to treat
the moods and interest of children for their benefits. They should provide children a proper space
for their individual activities so that they can learn to move freely and learn more and more from
their regular activities. Children should also provide some quite spaces where they can play
quietly look at some books for rest or sleep in such a manner that they can have a proper rest to
to be active in next moments. are so many adults who have their only focus on education of the
children which can create a pressure on children and can affect their environment hence they
should provide a proper environment by providing them open and it toys and resources for other
essentials. These resources will help them to touch and explore more and more so that it they can

make good use of these resources and create an interesting environment for them to explore.
Adults should give them a proper time in their very childhood so that they can have a feeling of
belongingness and time of adults and practitioners will create an emotional environment for them
(Wesely, 2021).
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it has been concluded that enabling environment is important
concept to be understand as it helps children at early stages to learn more and became innovative.
Foundation stage is an essential stage for every children and should be proper taken care at those
stage so that they can grow in effective manner. Enabling environment plays an important role in
the childhood of an individual and it is the duty of the adults or practitioner's which are
connected with children to create an enabling environment for them.
