1.1.8 Assumptions and Constraints
The assumptions of the project are as follows:
It is assumed that the entire project will be successfully executed by the end of the year
2019
It is estimated that in order to remove the level crossing from the Buckley and Essendon
street, the budget that is needed is around $114,664,480
It is assumed that due to the removal of level crossing, the traffic as well as safety of the
people will be improved
The constraints of the project include:
Scope: The project must follow the scope of the project in order to remove the level crossing
from Buckley and Essendon Street. It is identified that by following the project scope, the project
manager will be able to complete the entire project within the estimated budget and time.
Budget: The project must be completed within the budget that is around $114,664,480. If the
project managers are not capable of completing the project within this budget then number of
financial issues will occur.
Time: It is necessary to complete the level crossing removal at Buckley Street, Essendon
within the year 2019 otherwise the budget that is associated with the project will enhance which
will further create financial pressure on the Victorian government.
