INTRODUCTION
Employability skills refers to those skills which is very essential by every individuals in
order to perform their duty effectively within the business entity or while performing any project
work in a university. In every stage of life of an individual, educational background, skills or
knowledge plays very important role. With the help of this, they will be able to perform their
task effectively and in specific time period. Therefore, for having potential employability skills,
education is the basic requirement and plays important role. According to the present case
scenario, which is fundraising charity for brain tumour, and create awareness among individuals,
is going to be performed in this report with a group called limo. In addition to this, it is the report
which includes evaluation and audit of various key skills, proper development plan, teamwork
skills, as well as Gibb’s model in detail. This as a result, will aid in order to understand the topic
in detail along with the role of fundraiser effectively. Main aim behind developing this report is
to determine the employability skills along with different ways in order to improve them within
the person effectively and within the specific period time.
MAIN BODY

Skills audit is one of the most important, essential and effective method used by large
number of individuals in order to examine their skills and ability within a specific period of time.
With the help of skill audit, person will be able to examine the gap between current position and
desired position (Noe, and ET. Al , 2017). As a result, they can develop required skills within the
given period of time. The present report is a well known research, on the topic of Brain Tumour
Charity, where me and my group faced a range of difficulties. In addition to this, it will aid us in
identifying various skills which is required to perform our work in an effective manner.

According to the present case scenario, various problems are faced by me, which
ultimately aid me to find out various skills. Some of the skills are communication, time

management, interpersonal, decision making, problem solving, communication and so on. In
order to keep in mind the audit skills it has been analysed that in case of decision making skills I
have getting 5 out of 10 ratings. But on the other hand what is required for an effective leader is
8 out of 10 rating, so that I can raise funds effectively for Brain Tumour Charity. In addition to
this, within communication skill it is necessary to have 9 out of 10 rating so that I can
communicate relevant information effectively. But in this skill I am having only 6 out of 10
rating. At last, time management skill is one of the important factor. After taking consideration
of audit skills, it has been analysed that I an having 5 out 10 rating which is not effective.
Ratings required to manage time properly is 9 out of 10. It is very essential to have 9 ratings so
that an individual become a successful leader and raise enough funds for Brain Tumour charity.

might affect my performance when I conduct a research. These two areas are allotting tasks to
staff members and developing strong relationship within the group. In addition to this, it might
cause my performance, while spreading awareness about Brain tumour and raising funds by
developing a group called Lima (Lee, and Et. Al , 2016).
Building relationships: Teamwork skill, is not simple as it look. It required a lot of
patience and capability in order to develop strong relationship with various members of

the staff. Reason behind this is that each and every person have their own perception
regarding similar topic which creates disputes at the workplace. For understanding this in
a better way, I have taken an example where me and my team members decides to start a
Facebook page. With this page, we wants to create awareness about Brain Tumour. But
problem arise when some of them start raising an issue where they said that either on
Facebook, it will create more awareness on Instagram. This as a result, creates a situation
of conflict which negatively impacted the performance of whole group. With the help of
Darwin’s theory, me and my team members will be able to develop strong relation with
each other. In case of me, this theory aid me while performing my task effectively as well
as by assigning task to others and create awareness about Brain Tumour among others.
Assigning tasks : For maximising the advantages and benefits, it is one of the most
important factor which need to be assessed effectively. This could be done while working
their task effectively which directly affects the situation. In this, team members and me
decides to implement Belbin’s theory. Reason behind this is that this process of creating
awareness requires team work where Belbin’s theory suits effectively. It has also been
analysed that rating which was given was accurate as I was very afraid of allotting tasks
to individuals. It is very important to assign task and duties effectively and according to
the skills and education level (Jackson, and Wilton, 2016). Giving wrong tasks to the
wrong person without knowing skills due to unknown knowledge is disadvantage. It is
necessary to be aware about the skills and knowledge of team members related to Brain
Tumour. To working in Limo Group, it can be said that working on Brain Tumour is
most sensitive topic between people and it is necessary to be focus on perceptions as well
as opinions of people regarding this concept in an effective manner. Through this, I can
grab the better position in my team and will able to conduct an investigation in future in a
better or systemic manner.
Communication skills : It is one of the most necessary skill which helps in develop
better relationship at workplace. This skill will help me in connecting with people and share the
suggestions with them.

individuals within the team. Both of these are comprehended underneath in a detailed manner.

A professional development program is a structured and professional learning which
results in various in the knowledge and practices of a manager. A skill development is necessary
for identifying the capabilities of an individual to work in an effective manner so that all work is
done in a proper way. A skill development program is helpful for a company to analyse the
present condition of an individual and working upon it to achieve goals and targets of the
company.
Explain Skills development
Skill refers to an ability of carried out the tasks with identified outcomes within given
time period and energy both. Skill development is explained as capacity and ability that needed
by systematic, sustained and deliberate efforts to carried out the complex activities in smooth
manner (Eraut, 2014). Skill development is useful strategy for attaining the personal and
professional development. It is mainly concerned with the process that is done to determine skill

gap in a person. It act as beneficial factor that helps a person to identify capabilities for the
purpose of implement pre identified plans. The skill development plan aids an individual to
determine those skills which are need to be attained though them and prove better for them to
develop detailed approach towards the skills development. Some of the necessary skills ate given
below which I need to develop:
Decision making skills- Decision making is an act of selecting among two or more than
two action course, it consist selecting among better solutions to issues. It should be related to
gaining the knowledge that will make choice more effectively. I need to focus on develop this
skill as to take the effective or positive decisions. On the other hand, I can able to determine
issues and find better solutions by using relevant information. On the other hand, I need to make
possible choice in short period of time as able to show the reason which help in support
decisions.
Communication skills- Good communication is related to understand the instructions in
proper manner, making requests, rely information with an ease and acquiring the new skills and
knowledge (Jackson, 2014). These are the abilities to use when providing and also receiving
various information. The better communication skill helps in interact with people and show
opinions and view points in front of them. It will help in work in a team without arise conflict.
With the help of developing this skill, I can able to connect with my team members and they will
understand my opinions in a better manner.
Team working skills- Teamwork is related to operate effectively and Smoot within group.
In a team, there are different people working to attain shared objectives or get better outcome in
efficient manner. This skill helps a person to manage work properly in collaborative manner.
Through having the strong team working skill, I can able to work in changing environment,
condition, management etc. As there are different persons working in a team with different roles
and behaviour. With the help of this skill, I can able to coordinate with them and perform my
work in any condition. In context to raise funds for patients of Brain tumour, I have to work in
many changing situations and able to manage work in a team. It will aids me to make the
progression towards assessment purpose.
Public Speaking- It is most necessary skill that I need to be acquire. Through public
speaking, I can able to speak in front of the large population without feel hesitated. I can
communicate with them for my fundraising cause. This skill is helpful in develop self confidence

These all are the necessary skills which I need to develop and can able to use them in

Self improvement is for each and every one. You can improve and transform your self into
better by; learn to say “NO” and mean it, learn new skills, and gathering knowledge. stop
multitasking as it leads to less productivity and efficiency.
Self analysis is most complicated things. But, it plays an very significant role in personal
progress. The SWOT analysis will help in learning about the yourself (Goldman, Scott, and
Follman, 2015.). SWOT of personal development planning can be effective and able to identify
their strength and weaknesses along with coming opportunities for their further growth. SWOT
analysis of PDP, helps in analysing and evaluating different different of skills and
opportunities.
Strength: Personal development help individual enhancing their skills, education,
experiences, resources and support which help him for achieving his objectives and goals. Later
on it leads to positivity in them and become their strength . What benefits you have which other
do not have, this could be your strength such as (skills, connections, experience).
Weaknesses: This part examines the areas in which individual need to improve.
Individuals usually avoid skills, knowledge which are required to them for their growth because
of lack of self confidence and hesitation. Which is negative for their personal development.

employability skills are sometimes known as foundation skills or job readiness skills. The
